About this Cook
I travel for a living, and bought a house 3 years ago, I am only home 3 months out of the year. I find that cooking on the road isn't cooking. We mostly eat frozen pasta meals and fast food. When I am home in my big kitchen, I find myself wanting to make all kinds of things!
My favorite things to cook
So far I think I have a flair for Italian cooking. The recipes I have tried in this flavor have gone over well with everyone. I have decided meatloaf sucks.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom cooks the best chicken and dumplings. It is more of a casserole than a traditional dumpling. I am afraid to try the recipe. I have been waiting for her to come and visit, so we can make it together.
My cooking triumphs
I made chicken roll ups the other night. My boys loved them. I have also made a chicken parmesan, from scratch/ the sauce and all!!, I will most definitly try it again.
My cooking tragedies
My meatloaf was horrible!! It didn't cook all the way through and then when I finally got it done, it was very bland.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings
This is what mom used to cook!!! She used chicken breast with the bone in, added sage, and mushrooms, but no potato. Delish!!!
