Harvard Beets

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2014
Very good beet recipe, I will use it again and again. I did however use two tablespoons of cornstarch. As 1 reviewer stated, you need the beet juice to boil in order for the cornstarch to thicken and it does not thicken right away it takes a few minutes and stir frequently. The amount of cornstarch you use depends on the desired thickness.

Peanut Blossoms II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2012
Yhis is a very good recipe I've been making it for a long time with a few changes. I add 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine, I use 4 cups of flour, and instead of milk I use half and half.

Italian Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
Not bad at all, but I think the next time I make it I will do as another reviewer suggested and try it with yeast. For Jen Z, this is a tip that my grandmother, mother, told me. Tap on the bread if it sounds hollow then the bread is done, this works everytime. Also if you put a pan (sheet cake Pan) of hot water on your oven rack UNDER the bread the steam will help to keep the crust of the bread from getting hard.

Deluxe Waffles

These waffles are very good, but a little too sweet, the second time I made them I used a teaspoon of sugar instead of a tablespoon.
