Here I am!
About this Cook
Single and sassy nurse who enjoys cooking and sharing my creations with friends over a good glass of wine!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking Italian dishes, anything with chicken, and I love to experiment with spices. I'm a firm believer that garlic should go in everything, which is why I carry gum on me at all times. I love to try new things and making my neighbors' mouths water in the process!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Grandma always made the best oven fried chicken, and was a whizz with baking. A woman of Tennessee, she always used 6 lbs of butter in everything! I'm trying to keep the same flavor but choosing healthier ingredients!
My cooking triumphs
Thanks to this website, I have broadened my cooking horizons. I can't say one particular "triumph", but my friends and family think I'm quite the cook!
My cooking tragedies
I burnt my house down with a turkey deep fryer....joking.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
I've made this twice now, and I'm amazed at the simplicity and the great flavor this recipe brings! The only addition I make is a can of cream of mushroom soup, as well as the cream of chicken. I also let the chicken cook in the soups for four hours on the low setting, and add the cream cheese the last half hour of cooking. Cheap, easy, and literally takes 3 mins to throw in the crock pot!

Potato Salad Deviled Eggs
Made it for a BBQ and it was a huge hit! I don't think I'll ever make regular deviled eggs again! Easy and inexpensive.

Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin
I made this for a dinner party and it was such a hit that I had no left overs! The crock pot is great b/c it doesn't heat up the house, so it was a win/win. I too used about a tbs of red pepper flakes, and it gave it just the right amount of kick. I served it on a bed of white rice, and spooned the juices on top of it.
