Squash Pie
About this Cook
I'm from California (and I've lived there my whole life), but I go to school in Kentucky and I love it! I don't have a lot of time to cook during the school year, but I like to try out new recipes while I'm at home.
My favorite things to cook

My cooking triumphs
Squash pie!
My cooking tragedies
Chicken Tikka Masala the first time I made it...the recipe called for 10 tbsp of salt, and I followed it exactly without reading the reviews. Four hours' worth of work = wasted.

Chicken Tikka Masala
This recipe is amazing - but as many reviewers have said, be careful of the salt! When I first made this recipe I didn't read the reviews, and added a total of 10 tbsp of salt throughout the recipe. The result was completely inedible. The second time through, I only added one tbsp of salt to the mix used to coat the chicken, and none to the sauce - and it was great! Very yummy. A little more time-consuming than I expected, but definitely worth the effort.

Squash Pie
Some people have complained that this pie lacks flavor, but I found it to be absolutely delicious! Decided to make a squash pie for my boyfriend for the holidays, and this is a great recipe. I made some small tweaks: I was more liberal with all the spices and the butternut squash than the recipe suggested (after cutting it in half), and I used brown sugar instead of white sugar as one reviewer suggested. I preferred it at room temperature rather than chilled. Yummy!
