Fierro Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
This recipe was good enough for me to actually log in and rate it. That's kind of a big deal. Sooo good.

Heavenly Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
DEC A DENT. For all those of you who DON'T have a candy thermometer, cook the eggs until they a "uniform yellow consistency" like another reviewer said, but note that they will also be quite frothy from all the whisking. Other than that, I feel like it would be hard to go wrong with this recipe.

Buttermilk Honey Wheat Bread

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
The first time I made this, it was good, but not anything special. The second time, I cooked it just until it was starting to brown, and THEN it was really really good--especially with honey butter. Also, I made this without a bread machine, and it's important to not too much flour in. The first time I kept on adding until it was kneadable, but the second time I just added enough to work with it, but it was still sticky, and kind of a pain to try and knead, but it sure turned out good.

Lasagna Alfredo Roll Ups

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
This was just phenomenal. My husband and I couldn't wait to eat the leftovers. The proportions all seemed right to me, as far as noodles to filling. Great recipe.

Cheater Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
I'm not a huge fan of syrup in general, but my husband LOVES it. I made this recipe because it's similar to the one his mom uses. I reduced the sugar to a half cup white sugar, and a half cup brown, and it turned out great. Even sweet enough for his sweet tooth. I also used a tsp. of each the vanilla and maple.

Chinese Noodle Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2008
This was really quite delicious! I served it over rice, rather than chinese noodles, and used the teriyaki recipe from the first review. Really really good.

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
I used half margarine, and half shortening, and it was wonderful. The only margarine I had was frozen, so I just cut it up into tablespoon sized chunks and threw it in the food processor. Worked like a charm, and made it even flakier. I also put in a tsp. of sugar. Awesome recipe.
