Almost TOO nutty for me, but still very delicious! I'll make it again!

Pineapple Cream Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2001
A yummy unique twist on plain cream pie, and the almond in the cream is a great idea. Tasty..but don't forget the no tasting rule!! IF you taste it while cooking and then use the same spoon to stir again, a cream pie WON'T SET. (it's a saliva enzyme thing)

Award Winning Peaches and Cream Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2001
Awesome instant crust, and very rich. I need to cook mine a little longer next time because the middle ended up a bit doughy.....but it was so good we ate it anyway!

Banoffee

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2001
Sooo good...have already given the recipe to six people. Unique, flavorful, and the ginger in the crust is a MUST, so don't use a ready made one. Boiling the can? Who knew? Definitely a keeper.

Cranberry Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2001
Not quite the flavor I expected, but very good, and very rich because of the sour cream.

Sugar Cream Pie III

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2001
Definitely quick, easy, and very yummy. I wonder though if it would work the same if you had a pre-cooked crust, and just boiled it on the stove top until thick, poured it in, and let it set.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2001
Decided to write a second revies, my first was written in 2001 and said "Very good!! I used foil in the pan for quick clean-up, and I baked at 375 instead of what it said. The thighs came out moist, perfectly done, and delicious. I cut a bit of the soy, was afraid it might be too salty. Served over noodles." Still stands true...I forgot about my temp. change, used pieces of breasts and over did them at longer than 30 minutes! oops! The sauce is still perfect though (i add extra garlic).

Coconut (Haupia) and Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2001
People need to make this!! It was so good, the layers are beautiful when cut, and it was surprisingly light! Next time I may use a little bit less chocolate because I love the cocunut so much! Bravo!

Celery Chicken a la Koch

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2001
It sounded really bland, but it turned out not bad. My husband and daughter loved it, especially the potato chips on top. It needs some salt and pepper after cooking though. I'll make it again.

BBQ Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2001
Yummy!! An easy way to have a healthy meal. This would be great stuffed into pitas! I made extra sauce to toss with it once I put it on top of green leaf lettuce.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2001
Very good! Next time I will make more caramel sauce. I also toasted the pecans in the sauce with the apples for a delicious flavor!

Amy's Lemon Orange Creamy Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2001
A fun twist on classic lemon meringue. The recipe was a bit unclear...I ended up not using a pie crust! It was still good though, and I used a berry/lemon drink instead of just lemon, so it was pink and my daughter loved it!

Fudge Pie

Not quite what I expected. Kind of like a brownie in a crust, but it tasted pretty good.

Excellent! I think my husband found a new favorite with this one, and very easy! I never thought frying chicken was so fast. This will become a regular.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2001
Beware of the salt!! I'm not sure if my Cajun seasoning was different that others, but it contained a ton of salt already, and after adding the 1/4 tsp of salt I had to scrap most the sauce and add a extra cream to get rid of the saltiness. After it was solved, very good!!

Orange Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2001
Not quite what I had in mind, but still tasted good. It's more of a jello orange than a fresh citrus orange, might work with all sorts of other flavors and fruit.

Bunny Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2001
Delicious and fast sugar cookie! The orange flavor is yummy- i put orange cream frosting on mine and cut them thicker to make them softer. My dough ended up being too dry, so I just kept adding orange juice until I could roll them out!

Strawberry Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2001
I feel silly contradicting so many people, but this cake really wasn't what I'd expected. It was very moist, but even with the fresh strawberries the flavor was just kind of weird, and my frosting didn't work either. I hope others have more luck!

Baked Lemon Chicken with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2001
Superb mushroom sauce- key is tons of mushrooms. I thought the plain chicken with just lemon would be bland, but it tasted wonderful with the sauce. I will definitely make this again.

Apricot and Peach Fried Pies

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2001
They were a bit too greasy for my taste, but the filling was nice. I had a hard time getting the fruit to fall apart, so I finally just cut it up.
