Poor Man's Pecan Pie

Reviewed: May 18, 2013
Turned out great. Instead of using any corn syrup, I substituted wildflower honey 1:1, and baked it for 1 hour. My kids loved it, and so did I. I'll definitely make this again.

Squash Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
Fantastic pie! My daughter and I made this, and she couldn't get enough. If you do the full 2 lbs of squash, make sure you have containers to store the left overs. We did 2 full pies and still had some left over. Also substituted 1/2 c wildflower honey and 1/2 c brown sugar for the 1c white sugar. Used fresh ground nutmeg too and that really set it off. Fantastic recipe!

French Silk Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Great recipe! I too did this with raw eggs and everything seemed to work out just fine. I was just very careful with watching my temperatures. The kids loved this one too. I'll be making this again for sure! Ok, made this again, and this time I reduced the sugar by 1/4 cup (to 3/4 cup instead of 1 cup), and it came out even better. My daughter said the first go, at full sugar, was too sweet. I cut it back and it still got raves. I'll have to try it at 1/2 cup and see what that does. Still an excellent pie.

Good recipe. I also used a small slow-cooker and it worked out just fine.

Crescent Bacon-Cheddar Pinwheels

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Great recipe! Made this for Thanksgiving and the kids loved it. Instead of pre-made bacon bits, I made my own, frying up the bacon with some green onions. I'll definitely be making this again. Update: I made this with crescent rolls and it worked out great in a pinch!

Tzatziki II

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
Great recipe! I substituted dill for the mint and also pressed the cucumber in paper towels to drain off the excess water. This is great for lamb burgers!
