Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Yummy! So Good!! I'm SOO stuffed! :-)) Came out way better than I expected! I used can cream of mushroom and can cream of chicken and can chicken broth..didnt add any other liquid/water. My boneless, skinless chicken was already in pieces/chunks in the package.... didnt add onion or vegies.. but used garlic and onion salt, paprika and pepper. Was worried about how the dumplings/bisquits would come out.... was very happy with the results!! Used 1 pkg (minus three bisquits) of pillsbury golden layers buttermilk in green can. Did NOT taste doughy at all!! Did flatten each bisquit and cut thin slices, flattened strips, cut in half and put in for last 1 1/2-2 hrs. Total cooking time 4 1/2 to 5 hours on Low. Next time will add an additional can of chicken broth and use all the bisquits!!Enjoy!!

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Fantastic! Everyone loved the pie!! Even people who said they normally dont like pumpkin pie, said this was the best they ever had! I took suggestions from others&some of my own... added 1/4 cup white sugar and 1/4 brown sugar and added 1 tsp vanilla, I added 1/2 tsp cinnamon, next time will make it an addtl 1 tsp cinnamon, didnt separate eggs, just put the two eggs in with all the other ingredients and mixed it up! Used only 1/4 tsp salt and I used 1/2 cup pecans and was the perfect amount! Next time, I'll cut the ginger and nutmeg to only 1/4 tsp each, I like to taste cinnamon more than spices, but thats a preference! I used Pillsbury deep dish frozen pie crust and cooked the night before. let sit for a couple hours then covered and refriged till I took the next day. Left out till after dinner and the pie crust stuck a bit...next time I'll leave refriged till ready to eat. MMMMM... good, wish I had some now to eat! Enjoy!!

Slow-Cooked Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
I made this today and it is really good! The only changes I made was instead of using garlic and onions I used garlic and onion salt. It was good and ready to eat after 2 hours on high, then I turned it down to low for more hours and my son had some when he came home from work and really liked it a lot too! If you like spicey chili, you may want to add some jalapenos or? I didnt add this time, but probably would next time cause I like spicy food! I think this chili comes out best on low for the longer time.... so make it before you go to work, put it on low and have a wonderful tasting chili waiting for you when you get home! mmmm mmmm good!
