About this Cook
Recently engaged, learning to cook, and clean, and be..........DOMESTIC?? No, it obviously does not come as naturally as my sarcasm. But it has been really fun. I have no girlfriends my age, my mother lives out of state, and my grandmother raised four kids and cooked every night for them and my grandfather for forty years and therefore decided that she was going to retire. Everyone else gets to why can’t she? Therefore this website.........Godsend.
My favorite things to cook
Everything that I make that turns out edible.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, like I said my grandmother retired so I guess the tradition would be, put in your time. Oh, Christmas cookies. Every year, we do have that. They are fantastic. I will download some recipes.
My cooking triumphs
Every time I make something new and my fiancé says it’s great. That is a triumph and a great reward.
My cooking tragedies
So far, so good. I will keep you all updated.

Cornbread Casserole
I also used 1 stick butter, 8oz sour cream and two eggs like recommended my other helpful reviewers. However I did not use the whole kernel corn, and I only put in just over half the can of creamed corn. This is my first time using any recipes on, and I am really just learning to cook. I am not quite the seasoned professional that can through things together and take risks. When I started mixing everything up I thought there was way to much liquid, and not enough jiffy. I thought, oh, great this is just going to simmer in the oven and by the time my fiancé gets home we can have cornbread soup! But sure enough in an hour it was golden brown and perfect. SUCCESS!!! I can say I will defiantly be more trusting in the future, and if there are anymore newbie's like me, don't fear, you are not making soup. Plus this is the best cornbread I have ever had.
