About this Cook
I'm a recent college grad who is preparing for P.A. school. My passion are swimming and cooking and of course eating!
My favorite things to cook
I really like to bake; my friends and family constantly complain that i'm ruining their diets, but no one ever says no to a fresh baked goodie. I like entertaining and hosting dinner parties especially when i come across an exotic or unique recipe.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My uncle throws an amazing Thanksgiving every year that is to die for. We're Chinese so he puts an Asian touch on the culinary traditions of the day with delicious results.
My cooking triumphs
A peanut butter chocolate three layer cake. I made every speck of it from scratch and decorated it with real flowers at the end. It was both beautiful and delicious
My cooking tragedies
One time I mixed up the powdered sugar and flour. I made three different cookie recipes and each time they came out flat as pancakes and incredibly sweet before I realized my mistake!

Simple White Cake
This is a great recipe when you need to whip up a simple cake and don't have much time. It is moist and delicious and i have used it to make everything from cupcakes to a three layer strawberry cake.

Fried Rice with Cilantro
I LOVE this recipe. the sauce is so easy yet very flavorful and the entire dish is incredibly versatile. I have made this with different combination's of chicken, pork, egg, and shrimp as well as used a ton of different veggies. My favorite combination so far is chicken and shrimp along with diced bell pepper, jalapeno, and onion. A must try!

Best of the Best Blueberry Muffins
These turned out picture perfect and were quite tasty; though a little too sweet. I made the recipe exactly as called for except instead of using all butter I used half butter and half plain yogurt. I will definitely make them again but reduce the sugar by 1/4 to 1/2 a cup.
