Apple Bavarian Torte

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
thanks everybody for everything. Where were you guys 12 years ago when I needed you, this recipe has revived my self confidence. Everybody devoured it although I thinkit needed a slightly lower oven temp.as it came out a bit burned. I used canned peaches and covered it with walnuts and a peach glaze i made from the syrup left over in the can...you wont be disappointed, the paeches are heaven.Salwa

Moist Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
5 stars is an underestimation! Unbelievable, sign me up as an addict but after i replaced the sour cream with yoghurt, reduced the butter to 1/2 cup, and the sugar to 1 and a 1/4 cup. I've never tasted anything so moist.I used a 10 inch Bundt, it turned out beautifully! Thanks so much.

Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

You deserve your reputation. A masterpiece it is! Picture perfect and incredibly good. Used Yoghurt instead of cream cheese and fresh homemede strawberry preserves. My guests couldn't believe it was home made.

4H Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 2, 2008
Unbeleivable....this has the texture, taste, crust, and flavor of a perfect banana bread! Soooooooo moist, and I've tried a lot of recipes. Plus, it makes a generous sized loaf.Just make sure the bananas are mashed with a fork,...pureed bananas make foe a soggy loaf.Thak you!

Cranberry Nut Granola Bars

Reviewed: May 25, 2013
No. 1 = I never rate recipes (this is about my 3rd rating in the last 6 years) No. 2 = I hate sweetened condensed milk. That being said, I had a can of that stuff to get rid of, and I had tried countless granola bar recipes that turned out OK, but definitely more cookie or cake like and not comparable to the chewy kind you get at the store. Wow was I surprised, perfect! Once cooled, they cut into perfect bars and held together. And the taste was, by everyones measure.....far far far superior than all brands. I used all rolled oats, craisins, walnuts, coconut, and sunflower seeds. Next time, its crunchy peanuts and chocolate chips.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2013
I RARELY rate recipes, but this brought me out of my cacoon. Like others, I tried this as an experiment, not expecting anything even half edible. Oh my, what a surprise, and honestly the only time my homemade brownies were worth writing about or even making again! Delectible, with Giardelli bittersweet chchs. and walnuts.

Pumpkin Muffins II

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2014
I seldom, seldom comment on recipes, but I feel compelled to say this was scrumptious. I also used a can of pumpkin puree and subbed whole wheat flour for the AP, and the muffins were unbelievable, so much better than the apple pumpkin muffins on this site. Also halved the sugar and the salt. This was just what I was looking for, a muffin that doesnt have the texture of dense pumpkin bread. Thanks a million!

Harira

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2014
I always make this to keep warm in the dead of winter, I use any type of meat on hand...beef, chicken, ect, although the lamb does make it special. I also skip the egg, use EVOO, and add carrots. I add the chick peas with the lentils so they simmer with the rest of the stew and become buttery soft, and I add minced garlic and cilantro at the very end (with the vermicilli)to retain their flavor. I could eat this forever!
