I have been in the restaurant industry for 22 years. I am a professional bartender. I have worked every level of food and cusine, and paired my mixology skills with food from truck stops to fine restaurants.

am trying to learn more about grilling. i am also having to learn about cooking healthier. taking some of my old recipes and tweeking them to be a healthier alternative. it has become a hobby and a challenge to be able to lower the fat and calories out of food, while still making it hearty and tasty.
My favorite family cooking traditions
just getting together with the family is wonderful...each of us counting on the others specialties. i come from a long line of cooks...my favorites come from the elders of my family, who, at one time, going through the depression era, could take a bone and make a meal from it. nothing went to waste. i also love visiting my rich heritage through food. one side of my famiy is norweign, the other spanish and native american. we try to teach the younger generation the value of heritage through food, and music.
