Terrific Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
Wow, okay hands down, this is a GREAT chili recipe. Its a peice of cake to make. I also love that you dial it down or up depending on how hot you like it. I purchased spicy salsa and spicy taco season and as a result, this chili packed a punch. I added 3 cans of various beans to make it thick. This is a recipe I plan to make again and again.

Dinah's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
When I was shopping for the ingredients for this recipe I accidentally bought crab meat instead of clam meat and didn’t realize it until the next day when I looked the recipe over again. Even though I used crab these came out fantastic! I made them for a community meeting and everyone LOVED them! Not super fast to whip up but easy overall and very tasty.

Sausage Mushroom Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
The Recipe exceeded my expectations! I was looking for something easy to make for breakfast for a group of friends when I came accross this recipe. I had never made a quiche before but I gave it a shot. Everyone raved and said it was delicious. Even my friends 9 year old daughter who is a very pickey eater and didn't even want to try it thought it was great and came back for 2nds. I followed the recipe pretty closly except that I salted the egg mixture and added some Italian Seasoning. This is one that I'm sure I'll use again and again.

Pineapple Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
My Mom has been making this cheese ball for as long as I can remember and its always been a favorite of mine. Take the advise of the other readers though, this cheese ball really needs to be chilled for a time before eating it so that the flavors can blend...otherwise you will end up with a very bland recipe. Also, you must drain the pinapple fully or else it will be wet and gooey. Great Recipe.

Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
I took another person's suggestion and put my in chocolate toasting cups (they are hard to find, so look around prior) In these small toasting cups they made a delightful dessert. They recieved rave reviews! Easy to prepare ahead, just don't put them in the freezer beacause your chocolate cups will melt! Just store them in the fridge if you make them ahead of time.

Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
We like this recipe, I leave out the green peppers, onions and pimientos and put in about a cup of sweet pees instead. I follow the rest of the recipe as directed- although I do use the whole bag of egg noodles too. Its a creamier and richer version than the old campbells recipe on the back of the can. :)

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
I followed some of the other's advise on this one and marinated it over night in red wine vinager then rubbed it before browning with Monteray steak spices. I also used Beef Broth and Worcheshire sauce instead of water. The sauce was amazing and the vegies came out awesome but because my crock pot is not working properly my meat was a little overcooked and dry. I think with a properly functioning crock pot this would be amazing. I also made the pumpkin rolls from this website, perfect combo! :-)

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
Again, this was a recipe I had never tried before, but my family loves pasta. Instead of layering this like the recipe calls for, I mixed all the ingredients except for the cheese in a bowl then spread one layer topped with cheese and the spread the second. I did this because i wanted the pasta to be coated in the sauce. I also added Italian Seasonsing, Basil, and Oregano to the sauce. I thought it came out pretty good, but I was amazed by my Husband & his brother's reaction....they couldn't stop talking about it and they said it was the best meal I've made so far! I served with classic garlic bread. This recipe makes a ton so if you don't want leftovers cut it in half.

Chocolate Caramel Brownies

Very Good Recipe, these brownies could be paper weights they are so heavy! Only thing---the pan size recommended is too large.

Classic Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
This was certainly not the best Tuna Noodle Casserole I've had. It wasn't creamy enough for my taste. I would suggest swaping the cream of celery for cream of mushroom and perhaps adding a can & 1/2. Also top with All Spice for a tasty finish.

Double-Layer Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
The flavor of pumpkin is lost in this pie. It tasted far too much like vanilla pudding. Plus, my filling was not solid enough, it fell apart when cut even after hours of refrigeration. A big disappointment.
