If you love toffee, you will love these! I wouldn't call them a cookie, much more like a candy. I used a large jelly roll pan and used 1 1/2 sleeves of crackers. I lined my pan with my silpat liner and they came out beautifully. Don't expect these to "break" along the shapes of the crackers. They break into various shapes, but still look very nice. I think I will use more crackers (2 sleeves) next time because I prefer the taste of the few that aren't overwhelmed by the toffee mixture. They were very easy to make and a huge hit at my BBQ! Definitely one to make again and again and again and again :-)

These were good, but not what I was looking for. These are definitely a cookie, not a granola bar. I worked the dough with my hands to make sure it was well blended and used wet hands to firmly press it into the pan. My kids really loved them. I'm still searching for a true granola bar recipe like ones I would buy in the store....

This is a WONDERFUL, sweet sourdough base. It is not a San Fransisco sourdough. I had a starter like this given to me years ago, but it died due to neglect. I am glad to have it again. Use it with this same submitter's (Becky Richardson) recipe for sourdough bread. It makes a delicious, sweet dough that I use for french toast, cinnamon raisin bread and cinnamon rolls. Glad to have this growing in my fridge once again!
