Crawfish Cakes

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
These were very good!! I deducted one star because I feel the recipe needs more flavor as is. I added a handful of shredded cheddar cheese, some cajun seasoning, garlic, and onion powder.

Slider-Style Mini Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
Pretty Good, but a little bland. I added pepper but should have added some additional seasoning. EDIT : Made these a second time. I added more seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic powder), and did what other users mentioned where I spread the meat mixture on a pan and cooked in the oven for about 15 minutes at 350. Then I cut it into little squares with a pizza cutter and put it on the buns, which then went in the oven just to heat the bread. I really don't see the point in adding mayo to the meat mix, because I could not even taste it. Next time I will just add cheese and mayo on top. I know this is not really the recipe as written, but at least it inspired me to personalize it into something different that works for my fam.

Pumpkin Toffee Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
This was OK. I thought the filling needed more sugar because it was a little plain. Thought it would be pretty interesting cheesecake because of the pumpkin flavor, but I probably won't be making this again.

Lobster Newburg

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
Good flavor. It is different from the type of food I would usually make but my husband wanted this for his b-day and said it was great. I cooked the lobster in some water+Old Bay seasoning.

Rachael's Superheated Cajun Boiled Peanuts

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
Maybe it's because I am not from Florida?...I don't know. The texture was not appealing. Would have rather just had normal peanuts.

Sushi Roll

Awesome recipe! My husband and I love sushi, but it is so dang expensive to buy at the store. This was surprisingly simple to make. Thank you so much for this great recipe!

Four Cheese Baked Ziti

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
Me and my husband didn't like this. It was missing something...It just tasted like plain old macaroni made with expensive cheeses. Didn't have much flavor...smelled GREAT in the oven though, LOL.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
I cut down on the spinach by 3/4, added some fresh basil, and just a handful of cheddar to the sauce to give it a different flavor. I used ground chicken instead of chopped. Loved it.

Really Great!! I added garlic and pepper and used cream of chicken instead of mushroom. I also used crumbled Ritz crackers on top.

Cajun Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
I really liked this. I used one whole loaf of french bread I got at the supermarket, which equaled about 11 cups. I do think that there needs to be a bit more sugar in the milk mix and the sauce should be doubled. I Didn't use raisens.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
The taste was good after I added various seasonings but I think the measurments are off. I ended up using 12oz of noodles because of the amount of sauce. Also, I used about triple the crackers. I also added some finely chopped onion.

Very cute idea! We made ours with cheese and pepperoni. I think the crust lacks flavor though.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
This is great meatloaf. For once I didn't have to drown mine in Ketchup. My husband and twin 4 year olds loved it also. I followed the recipe exactly, just added some pepper and garlic powder. I did not think it was too salty with the whole package of onion mix. Thank you for the recipe, will be making this again! EDIT~ Made this for the third time tonight. Instead of an actual loaf, I put the meat mixture in halfed green peppers (boiled peppers for 10 minutes prior to stuffing). Turned out great!!! Thanks again for this recipe.

Didn't use cornmeal, just used eggs and flour. Fried them up in bacon grease and added some cajun seasoning for more flavor.

Creamy Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
I thought these were very good. My husband hates all deviled eggs so he refused to even try them (hard-headed), but me and my twin two year old toddlers loved them. There were 12 egg halves and no leftovers.
