About this Cook
I'm a Mom with a grown son that I don't see often enough but talk to all the time. (Why do they like running off to the big city so much?) I'm a home cook with my Grandma's marinara in my veins ... and there's never been a recipe I couldn't conquer. Not always with the best results but often with a new variation! LOL

Venetians
I've been making this yummy cookie for well over 30 years. My son doesn't think it's Christmas if it's missing and it's his very favorite. Just a couple of tips: wax paper just smokes and smells up the kitchen. Use parchment. And warming the apricot jam (I use preserves) helps to spread them easily. Don't be afraid of all the steps -- it's much easier than it appears. You'll be glad you baked!

Cream Cheese Cookies IV
Talk about easy and quick! I was browsing for something to use up some cream cheese and I found this. I added more vanilla and half way through baking, I decided to make the rest like thumbprint cookies and added apricot jam. That took these out of the ball park! Sort of an instant kolacky! Hey ... it might just do the trick if you're desperate for some Polish soul food in the wee hours. LOL

Pear Honey Cranberry Sauce
Amazing! I'll never put the canned stuff on the table again! I used agave instead of the honey and the pot that's on the stove right now has apple and pear in it. Not too sweet and not too tart ... very simple flavors. If you're like me and hate orange with your cranberries, this is the recipe for you!
