Yum! Rich & chocolatey. I use regular Hershey bars...no almonds in my choclate! :)

Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
This bread is AWESOME! I've made it numerous times and I always receive lots of compliments on it. I made it without the chives (didn't have any) and black pepper (didn't think it needed anything more). I love it! I put it in the bread machine on the dough cycle, put it into bread pans overnight and bake it the next morning. Fresh baked bread...and doesn't dry out like most homemade breads do after a day or so.

Black Bean Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
This was really good. Instead of making the salad as is, I just cut up the ingredients needed and let people make their own, since people like some things and not others. I used green onions instead (I don't care for regular onions raw). The dressing was good too, though I would probably use less cilantro the next time around. I marinated the chicken in the Smokey Tequila Lime Marinade sans Tequila and hubby grilled it up. Perfect combination for this summery satisyfing salad. Thanks!

BLT Bow Tie Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
I made this tonight for my in-laws. I was a little hesitant at first, but it was REALLY good. I used rotini instead of bow tie, spinach instead of lettuce, grape tomatoes, and a package of bacon pieces (not bacon bits, the real pieces). The chicken was previously marinated in Italian dressing & grilled. SO good. I'll be making this regularly, esp. during the summer! Thanks!!

Macaroni and Cheese V

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
This is a pretty good recipe for homemade mac & cheese. I made a few changes; added a tsp. minced garlic to cook with the onion, left out the mustard and breadcrumbs, 1/2 c. parmesan cheese, and 1 1/2 c. cheddar. It's VERY cheesy this way, so next time I'll probably cut the cheddar down to a cup and/or add a little more milk to thin it out. The cheese melts well if you use a whisk and stir it constantly, like you would gravy instead of a wooden spoon or such. Good recipe and my kids (almost 3 and 14 months) ate it too, so good for even pickier eaters. Thanks!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I opted to leave out the carrots (not huge cooked carrot fans) and other than the fact that my crockpot cooks so fast/hot, it was pretty good. I cut up my chicken into bite size pieces (it was for a potluck lunch at church). That way I only used about 1/2 the amount of chicken it called for...still plenty for everyone to have some. It was all gone, so I guess it was a hit. I'll make this again, very easy and tasty.

Quick Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
This was AMAZING!!! The only thing I would change is getting the bigger tub of Cool Whip (I seem to run out before I got to the top) and to use fresh raspberries on the top. The frozen ones were all mashed and you couldn't tell that they were actually raspberries. Also, I didn't buy the frozen raspberries in syrup, but I had raspberry syrup that my husband and I use for our coffee, so I brushed that over the brownies and it was really good. I will make this over and over.

Taco Seasoning II

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of this recipe. I always think the packages from the store are WAY too salty (even when I'm not pregnant, like I am right now) so I was glad to see this recipe didn't even call for salt. My husband is a taco fanatic, would eat them all the time if he could and he really liked the seasoning. I thought it could have used a tiny bit of salt (go figure!) but he said he wouldn't even bother. I will definitely be using this again and again! Thanks for such a great recipe!!! :)
