Soba with Toasted Sesame Seed Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
It is an excellent cold noodle dish. I would recommend doubling the sauce recipe and lightly steaming the vegetables.

Chicken and Artichoke Minestrone

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
The soup is even better the second day or third day. I used the fresh spinach and left out about 2 cups of water from the chicken broth. Also added a can of black beans it added a lot of flavor.

Yakisoba Chicken

Delicious! We used half the chile paste so that it wasn't that spicy. Also to make it salty we subsituted half the soy sauce or light soy sauce.

Roasted Garlic Flat Iron Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
It didn't have enough of a garlic kick for me and my family so I upped the garlic to 15 roasted garlic cloves and used 5 fresh garlic cloves. I used this same sauce recipe on cubed chicken baked in the oven also on baked scallops and pan-fried shrimp it is absolute delicious. My mother loves this sauce on her rice.

Good but it was a bit bland. So next time I will double up on the herbs and add a dash of tumeric.

Mixed Vegetable Salad I

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
To make the recipe a little easier I used a small bag of broccoli coleslaw and a regular sized bag of standard coleslaw. I also halved the sauce so that my salad would not be drenched in it.

Great recipe I made a few changes. I doubled the herbs and added 1 tsp of tumeric. I used olive oil in replace of the butter and doulbed the amount. Omit the parmesan cheese. And use 5 cloves of garlic.

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
I did not like this recipe the bread came out to hard even though I cooked it on a light bake in my bread machine. The taste wasn't all that good either.

This is an excellent recipe. The bread is super moist and just sweet enough. Everyone in my family absolutely loved it.

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
Good chicken really moist and tender. I marniated the chicken over night. After rubbing chicken with the herbs and spices I wrapped it in saranwrap. I cooked it at 250 degrees for 5 hours uncovered. For first 3 hours I cooked breast side down and then last 2 hours I cooked it breast side up. Doing this made the chicken breast much more flavorful.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
Really spicy. I am going to try this recipe again and perhaps leave out half the green chile peppers. I did add 1 can of beans like other people have suggested.

Creamy Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
I'm sensitive to dairy and wheat so I made some changes. Instead of the milk I used 1/2 the container of silken tofu saved the other half for later. Left out the cheese and flour. It was so good, loved it! Used frozen vegetables so I can make this anytime.

Tomato Mozzarella Salad with Balsamic Reduction

I typically do not like tomatoes, but this salad was excellent. I added the olive oil, basil, salt and pepper to the balsamic reduction once it was cooled.

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
I used 1/4c real Vermont Maple syrup and the sauce was perfect. It does not need any more maple syrup it would make it taste too sweet. Also I did not have any fresh rosemary so I used about 1tsp of dried rosemary. I recommend doubling the rosemary, salt and pepper rub.

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
The dough was prefect. I used the bread machine only on the knead cycle whch was for 20 minutes. I followed some of the other reviews and added 1tsp each of basil and garlic powder. Once the kneading was finished I rolled the dough into a ball and placed it in a greased bowl covered with oiled sran wrap and towel over the top and placed it in a slightly warmed oven. After 30 minutes of rising the dough I punch it down and tossed to form the pizza pie.
