Ok so this is a great start to a great stew. I like some of you went ahead and added my own extra's and gave it my own different little flavor. It is good without the extra's but we like it a little hot around here.

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

so this is definately a good basic cake mix. I also used oil instead of shortening and it came out much more moist that way. Also the suggestion made to beat the eggs with sugar until they form peaks then folding them in helps. And of course guys and gals don't be afraid of lumps when making a cake they are in fact your friend!

Butter-Dipped Biscuit Squares

Pretty darn good you have to follow the basic directions correctly. BUT feel free to add any type of seasonings of cheeses to spice this one up it takes well to additions. Thanks! P.S. only use real butter margerine makes the top not buttery enough for some reason. They still come out very buttery tasting but real butter makes it all the better.

Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting

HOLY WOW!!!!!! This one is a keeper for real. The only way you can mess it up is too not follow the directions EXACTLY if you beat everything but the cream first until it's creamy then SLOWLY add the heavy cream beat until stiff you can't loose. It's the best frosting ever. I think so cuz buttercream is just way too sweet for my taste. But go ahead and go crazy with this one.

Chocolate Mayo Cake

Don't let the name fool you it is a wonderful cake and I love to make for almost every occasion, sometimes I make just because it tastes soooo good. It's moist and fluffy. The hotteest thing since sliced bread in my opinion!!!!!

Dutch Apple Pie

The pie itself was good not great. And the topping was awful. It cooked up like a sugar glaze or something, it had like a hard shell when it was done.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

I wish that there were more stars because making a pie crust that wasn't to tough or just plain nasty was a real chore for me. And this recipe changed all that for me. I also used a butter flavored shortening and it made the crust even better. Thank you sooooo much

Chemical Apple Pie (No Apple Apple Pie)

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! I had try and make this to see if it really tasted like apple pie. And guess what it does I did increase the crackers to 36 so it had a very good sturdy filling. Anyway who would have thought that crackers would make a great pie thanks.

Easy Red Beans and Rice

i used the recipe to the t and we all liked it but it had more of a chili taste to me than that of red beans and rice. It was still very good and we will have it again.
