Baked Teriyaki Chicken

As I was making the sauce, my 7 year old runs out to the kitchen and asks, "What are you making mommy? It smells delightful!" It WAS SOOOO good, making it again tonight.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

This has got to be the BEST alfredo ever! I have made it for my family several times now, and have never had any left over. Everyone who has tried it LOVED it. Definitately a keeper, thanks for the money saver!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

I've been thinking about making this cheesecake for about a month, after reading all the reviews and tips I decided to try it. This is the first time I have ever made a cheesecake in the oven, so I was gonna make sure I did it right. I bought the full fat cream cheese, sour cream, let it set out overnight with the eggs to bring it to room temperature. I get up in the morning to make the cheesecake, and my eggs are missing...My husband ate them for breakfast! I was thinking, "Do u always make it a habit to eat stuff that is just sitting around on the counter?" Anyways, after buying more eggs and warming them in the oven. I made the cheesecake. Left my daughter in charge of the crust, she forgot to add the sugar. We added a 1/4c of pecans to the crust mixture(YUMMY). I used almond extract instead of vanilla (my preference) After the cheesecake had been baking for about 30 min, I realized I forgot to add the flour. Anyways, after letting it cool down for a bit in the fridge(I couldn't wait) I tried a piece. It is great! So creamy, not too sugary, not too sweet, just perfect. I gave some to my co-workers, they said it was the best cheesecake they had ever had. So, at the end of the day it was a perfect cheesecake for a not-so-perfect day.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

I had a lot of tomatoes from the garden that my husband wanted me to freeze, however we still have the tomatoes from last summer, so I had other plans for them. Since I had 6 kids hungry kids here, I decided to make grilled cheese, which most refuse to eat unless there is a bowl of tomato soup along side. Only 1 kid didn't like it. Will make again, too bad for the one that didn't like it.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

After getting 20lbs of red potatoes given to me, I looked here for some potato and ham soup. This is great! I didn't use any celery the first time I made it and it tasted great! I made it before work and when I came home there was none left. So, I made it again today, this time with no onions and I used carrots from the garden...Yummy! I can't wait to share this recipe with my co-workers. Very kid friendly and I'm planning on trying to freeze a bunch for the winter!!!!

Garlic Green Beans

Was great. I sliced up the garlic like it said, but I also added two giant spoonfulls of minced garlic during the last minute of cooking. I love garlic so I absolutely loved it. I had it for lunch, will use parmesan next time, I am out at the moment.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Just made this and it is yummy! The substitutions iI made where that I used brown sugar instead of white, and put down a half cup of chopped pecans on the bottom of the pan. Plus, I didn't use chocolate. Kids all loved it!

Angel Chicken Pasta

It was great, I changed it a little, I had already cooked the chicken the day before so I cut it into bite-sized pieces and put it in the sauce on the stove. I just basically warmed the chicken in the sauce on the stove and then served the sauce-chicken mixture over buttered angel hair pasta. Everyone loved it. Will definitely make again.

Broccoli Chicken Braid

I made this without the peppers and almonds and it was delicious. I have a family of 8 and I thought 3 "loaves" were going to be too many. I made all 3, but only cooked 2 for the kids and I. It was gone in no time! The last one I stuck in the fridge until hubby came home later. He ate 80% of it himself, I ate the rest. I will definitely make again and tell everyone about it.

Sausage and Egg Casserole

I have never heard of this Sausage and Egg Casserole before. I made it and everyone loved it. I was chose to be the food provider for a group of 15 campers and I brought this. I had two 9x13 in. pans that I had covered in a cooler until breakfast, then we cooked it on the grill. Everyone loved it and we ran out. Next time I'm bringin' 3 pans.

Mama Bear's Porridge

I'm eating it right now. Wonderful, creamy taste. I made it wrong and it is still good, I scaled it down to one and I had 2 eggs in my head so added 2 eggs instead of 3/4. So, I just cooked it a little longer to make sure the egg was fully cooked. Used brown sugar instead of honey because I was out of honey. I'm sure it tastes great either way.

Buttermilk Pie

I loved it! I hadn't heard of buttermilk pie before but needed to use up some buttermilk so I gave it a go. I messed up horribly as I didnt thoroughly read the directions. I threw all ingredients together and just beat until smooth. I used the nutmeg and a bit of cinnamon. I will definitely make again, maybe even the right way.

Kids LOVED them! I refuse to buy them ones at Carnivals because of the outrageous prices. These keep them happy and me within my grocery budget. For about $10 we made 16 of them! I will be adding this to my recipe book.
