Oven Fried Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
Nothing beats the messy way of making real fried chicken..but this recipe I must say is right up there! Bounissimo!! I used all the ingredients mentioned by Judy, but did alter some dosages and the pan I cooked it in. I used italian seasoned bread crumbs, so it already had parsley, but added 1/2 tsp anyways. I opted not to bake in 9x13, instead used a jelly roll pan. Due to having all that added butter I thought it would be too greasy. By cooking it in the jelly roll pan at 375 degrees it came out super crispy and soooo tender! It was the best recipe I have ever tried for oven fried chicken!!!! I did add an extra bit of parm, grated fresh..and it was delicious. While the butter was melting I took the garlic clove and infused it the butter...you have to do this. Smells terrific and adds to the taste! 5 stars for sure and my honey loved it!!!!! We had leftovers and all I know this morning he had taken it all to work and now they are asking for the recipe so the others wives can make it! Thanks Judy!!!!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: May 1, 2009
Wow...delizioso!!! I did make some changes due to counting calories and such. I used fat free milk 2 cups and not 3. I also mixed the pudding in one bowl and the cream cheese (low fat) vanilla and fat free condensed milk in another. When both bowls of ingredients were well mixed I then poured in the pudding mix and folded in half the cool whip. make sure you use room temp cream cheese..or it will be all lumpy. I followed the directions exactly as stated. I lined the bottom of the dish I chose to use, not necessary to use a 9x13. Get creative and colorful! You can use any dish. Then I used the remainder of the cool whip and crushed some vanilla wafers and lady fingers...YES..lady fingers on top for eye candy! Set in fridge for 3 hrs..and it was delicious...my neighbors were in heaven asking for the recipe. It was so sweet, I am glad I used all those fat free's ingredients. I could not imagine eating any other way. Would be way to sweet and hard on the stomach. Please do not skimp on cheap imitation vanilla. Good eats to all. Will certainly make it again.

Oven Fried Chicken III

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
We love fried chicken..but I HATE Mayo..so subbed it with fat free sour cream..the taste was Xcellent and less fattening! The family love it. I also set the oven as many have suggested to 375..quicker and the chicken stays moist. All in all..would make again. But working on another recipe for oven fried chicken...When using bread crumbs or Panko, make sure you watch the amount of additional seasoning. For these already have some in them.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
How sweet it is!!!! Today for the first time in my life, I had some hand picked apples from Ellijay Georgia. So I began my search for a recipe, and stumbled upon this one. It was divine..mouth-watering and oh so sweet. I did add cinnamon, and some nutmeg, but for the rest I stayed true to the recipe. It came out purrrfect! My crust was delicious, and the apples I used simply heavenly. I will never use another recipe again. This will always be on my table, and with each first bite, my appreciation goes out to Rebecca for sharing her Grandma Ople's apple pie recipe.

Baked Bar-be-Que Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
I gave it 5 stars because anyone who can come up with a new and tasty recipe for chicken deserves it. However I did make some of my own changes thanks to ratings from other members. I did line the bottom of my pan so it would be an easy clean up. Also added the garlic powder beneath the skin and on top of it along with some pepper. Then knowing that would certainly not be enough seasoning ..trust me on this one...I added some "Louisiana Cajun Hot seasoning Blend", not too much because I really don't like spicy foods. Make sure you do cover it with the foil paper! That is the trick to the meat falling off the bone and certainly last but not least...some really good B-B-Q sauce. That makes the whole dish! Best chicken I ever had...besides actually grilling it on the BBQ. I did cook it a tad bit longer than mentioned due to poking a knife between the thigh and leg and juices did have some blood in it. Let it run clear and then you know it is done. But it was so moist!! Thanks for sharing.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
I wanted to try this right before Thanksgiving, and I am glad I did. It did come out very firm and dense. No complaints there, however I agree with some in regards to it not being a tad bit sweeter. Next time adding some sugar along with some brown sugar. It was not grainy at all. It seemed though every once in a while you would get a bite full of spices, but that is probably due to not having enough sweetness to balance it out. I am going to try it again one of these days.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
Being from Florence...I was amazed that someone would even think of making lasagna with cottage cheese! I certainly would not be doing it again. I wanted to give it a try and followed others...RICOTTA, and lots more cheese! Other than that it was alright. Good luck!

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
I love chicken don't get me wrong. Finding new ways to cook it, is a misson for me. I came upon this recipe and was not impressed. Tasted other recipes. Had nothing to do with garlic. In this house garlic is used alot. It was mediocre..really nothing special if you more of an xpert cook. Sent this recipe to my son in college, perefct for a student.
