Gone But Not Forgotten

I have been gone but I have not forgotten you. My home-cooked meals went by the wayside, but like all things have come full circle. Like most good friends I hope we can pick up where we left off because I have, indeed, missed you. I feel my family missing your
presence as well and we shall power on to become reaquainted.
Yes, I have been missing from this wonderful land of recipes and food camaraderie, but intend to return to it. Having a family, a job and a million different interests seems to take up my time. Desperate to return to well-cooked and nutritional meals for my
21 month old and my husband I will be on here once again. I haven't completely gone by the wayside. A co-worker and I went halvsies on a farm-to-table co-op in which we receive a massive box every Wednesday of local produce picked from farms in the area that
very morning. I cannot stress the difference the freshness makes in cooking. Roasting my vegetables in olive oil on a baking sheet with salt and pepper has become a simple pleasure of late and one that I will be sure to continue throughout the harvest season.
Tonight's menu is still up in the air given that it is grocery shopping time. Usually this is Sunday, but we had company last night so any summertime, fresh harvest dinner ideas are welcome!
