Crispy Herb Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
I made this recipe last night for my family and a guest. The only alteration I made was to add some poultry seasoning with a little mesquite in it. HUGE hit ...they ate it all. I made boneless strips so the cooking time was reduced. Great recipe!

Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
Very tasty! I used half again the fresh lemon and a bit more fresh basil and fresh parsley than the recipe called for. I also baked it in a glass dish at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. I intended to use Halibut..I live in the Pacific NW and it's usually readily available, not this time, so I ended up using Tilapia. It was the first time for me that I didn't over cook the fish..and it got raves from my husband and two daughters. This is a recipe I'll use again and again. Thank you =)

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
My family has declared this "the best chicken ever". I took others advice and doubled the sauce, but kept everything else the same. It was very easy to make, quick and fabulous tasting! It's a keeper.

Cheese Biscuits I

These were awesome! They were very much like the ones at Red Lobster. My whole family loved them. Very simple and easy.

Beefaroni

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2007
This was a hit with my family. I think it's a good base recipe. It was easy and fast..which makes it a hit with me. After reading the reviews, I only used 11oz of pasta, added some garlic powder and italian seasoning to the ground beef as it was browning, and I used a 28 oz jar of spaghetti sauce because I didn't have the tomato sauce. I also mixed all ingredients in the pan before placing it in the casserole dish..it was easier to mix that way. Following others advice I held some of the cheese back and topped the casserole the last 5-10 minutes. This is a recipe my teenaged daughters could easily make so it will go in my recipe box. Thanks for sharing.

Bailik (buy-lick)

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
My 15 year old daughter chose this recipe for her night to cook and I was a little leary of her trying it, but she did awesome and the chicken was really good. I'd like to put a bit more spice into it next time we cook it, or maybe marinade the chicken first..just to add some flavor. The only down side I see to this recipe ..is that it's deep fried food. It was a definate confidence booster for my daughter.

Chili Dog Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2007
What a fun meal! My 15 year old daughter made this for our family. Not the healthiest..but definately quick, easy and fun. My husband loves hot dogs and chili and always smothers it with mustard..so we were sure he would like it..and he did. My daughter used a little less bun, a bit more hot dog, chili and cheese, but pretty much kept it the same as the recipe. She did place the buns in the oven while it preheated as someone suggested and the buns were not soggy at all. We will keep and use this one..thanks for the recipe.

Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
I doubled this recipe and didn't include the onions. I added 3 cups of left over ham from Easter and instead of using water to cover the veggies I used chicken broth and reduced the amount of boullion cubes. This was my first attempt at a potato soup and it turned out good. Total comfort food. I think I might try the tips about adding some bacon next time..get a bit more flavor. I did make the cheese biscuits with it ..a MUST!

Tater Tot Casserole II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
I really like this recipe for its ease. I also appreciate that it can be changed easily. I like to add garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and a little bit of cumin to the ground beef while I'm browning it. I also add cheese and a mix of veggies. We've also done it with turkey or chicken, using broccoli and carrots for the veggies....very good!
