Wasabi and Shrimp Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
Very good! I had no problem shaping it and I would definally add more wasabi if you would like it hot. I think it could benifit greatly from maybe a duck sauce drizzled on top or something to bring out flavors. But it was different and worth making again!

Chocolate Covered Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
excellent fillings!!! the only thing I did different was add nuts to chocolate one. I did have some trouble with he dipping. I needed almost double the chip amount listed and it was quite hard to dip them. Next time I think I will look into molds and dipping chocolate that I have read people used, it would make them perfect. With the price that is charged for chocolate eggs you could make triple of these and they are awesome!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
Very good burger. I doubled the recipe, used whole wheat Ritz crackers as someone suggested and rinsed and drained beans. After mixing I refrigerated for couple hours and they were fine to form and did not fall apart at all. I did add more crumbs at least double what it called for. I think it would be good to change the spices around to change the flavor if you made them often. A very good base though.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Delightful and creative! I had hugh bag of kale left over from some soup so I tried this. Some pieces of mine was more crisp then than others, but even the chewier pieces had a nice roasted flavor. It had a deep fried brocoli taste.

Ian's Potato-Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
My Mom(who is Pennslyvania Dutch) made a soup similar to this and everyone still asks me to make it. All she did was put potatoes on the bottom of large pot add celery, carrots, and onion, use about half potatoes other half vegtables. Add enough water to just cover the potatos.Fry bacon and put on top. Steam it all till vegtables are soft. Then she put it in the blender with milk till all of it was blended and creamy. Add salt and pepper. We ate it with homemade bread and it was terrific!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
Delicious! Everyone loved it at my party, they said it tasted just like the poppers. And it was all gone way to soon. I did use the whole can of sliced jalapenos, used the Panko crumbs on top and real parmesan. It was totally awesome.

Irish Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
Made this for St. Pat's day, not a morsel left. I also cooked lamb evening before in crock pot( 7 hours) with onions, garlic, a bottle of beer and beef broth. The next day added all else. A dollop of sour cream and chopped mint is good to serve it with. Yummy

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2007
Very good and I have eaten it in Paris where they like to come around and pour wine right into your soup. I made a vegetarin version for my daughter using vegatable broth. Just kind of have to taste as you go on that. She liked it though.

Fish Tacos with Honey-Cumin Cilantro Slaw and Chipotle Mayo

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
Just finished eating 2 of these, very good. I used wheat Ritz crackers instead of the panko crumbs just cause I had them. I also baked the fish in the oven on a pan coated with olive oil. Still crisped up very nice. I will make these again, thanks for the great recipe!

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
Very good soup! On a cold Pennsylvania evening it was just right. I had to add garlic, put it in the beginning with the other vegatables. Of course more curry, and some red pepper. I used coconut milk just cause I like it and it worked fine. My 4 year old ate a large bowl and my husband had not a clue what the apples were!
