We cleaned out the pantry yesterday and found two boxes of german chocolate cake mix that go bad in a couple weeks. My family asked me to find something to do with them so i decided to try these. They're not the most amazing baking feat i've ever made, but they are pretty darn good. I used a cup of pecans, since i'm out of chips, and they came out realy nice. They're soft and moist on the inside ((not undercooked)) and crispy along the edges.
If they're burning on a dark pan or non-stick pan make sure to turn your oven down 25 degrees. I did, and they're sonderful.
Thanks so much for sharing! They're going on my holiday cookie sharing list.
