Raspberry Tilapia

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2011
We loved this but I adjusted the recipe as follows. I didn't have raspberry vinegar so I mashed & drained about 1/3 cup of fresh raspberries and added enough white balsamic vinegar to the juice to make 1/4 cup. I only added 2-3 TBS honey, and I used about a Tablespoon of dijon mustard.

Quinoa Salad with Dried Fruit and Nuts

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
This was really, really, really good! I cut down on the sesame oil and used craisins. My husband loved it as well and thought it was quite filling. Will definitely make this again and try different variations.

My family described this as having a "burst of flavor in your mouth". Even the kids liked it.

Miso Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
Very good!!! I halved the recipe and added extra honey, used rice vinegar instead of white. I used a variety of salad greens and poured the dressing on, then sprinkled sesame seeds and mandarin oranges over the top. We'll be making this again. Thank you!

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
This is a really good recipe. I also only used 3 cups of flour and butter instead of margarine. If you want your cookies to maintain their shape, I recommend baking them at the 400 degree temp. At 350, they puffed up and spread too much. This would also be good with 1/2 tsp almond or lemon flavoring added.

Spinach and Pasta Shells

Good and easy! I used fresh spinach and I also added sliced Canadian bacon to make it more of a meal for my family.

Apricot Chicken with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
I didn't follow the recipe exactly. I used thighs instead of breasts, and I left out the apricot preserves, thyme and parsely. It was excellent! I think it would've been way too sweet with the preserves. Will definitely make it again.

Baked Potato Soup

We really liked the depth of this soup! We added more bacon and used turkey bacon but pretty much followed the recipe. I'll make this again!

Grilled Pork Chops with Balsamic Caramelized Pears

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
This is REALLY good! My 14 yr old even liked it and asked for more sauce. The pork is good alone also- that's how my 9 yr old ate it. It tasted like something from a fancy restaurant. Will definitely make this again.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
These are awesome! I used a small ice cream scoop and didn't flatten them. I cooked them just until the edges started turning brown, then I let them cool for about 3-4 minutes on the cookie sheet. The flattened out to a perfect thickness- the outside was a little crispy, the inside chewy. You've gotta try these!

Zucchini Miso

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
This was quite good. I agree about omitting the chicken broth- it seems to get quite runny and would probably be better without it.

Quick Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
This was quick & easy but not the best rolls I've made. The flavor & texture was a little different than I was hoping for. But from start to hot rolls was only about an hour so I'd make them again if I were in a hurry. As mentioned in other reviews, the dough was quite sticky so I used a 1/4 cup ice cream scoop to scoop the dough into the muffin tins. It was very easy and cut out a lot of mess!

We also made the ras el hanout mixture similar to one of the other reviewers. This is the first time we've cooked lamb and it turned out excellent! After searing it we put it on a rottiserie grill. YUM!

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

The only changes I made was use olive oil and doubled the cream. My picky kids loved it and said they could eat it every night. It would be and easy dish for company!

These may not taste EXACTLY like a BabeRuth but they're very good! I didn't have any cornflakes so I used corn chex instead and they still turned out yummy!
