White Cake Frosting I

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This was an awesome, easy recipe. I used it to make many different colors when I made my son a train cake for his birthday. It was exactly what I needed. Yummy, light and fluffy, and it took colors well.

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
I make these in the crockpot with no topping, so I don't use any butter at all. I also add a bit of onion and garlic powders. DELICIOUS.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
I only make these for potlucks because I've learned - thanks to my husband refusing to eat peanut butter, I WILL eat the entire pan myself. SO GOOD.

Seven Layer Magic Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
YUM! I do make a crust with the butter and crumbs, and pour the milk on top, but otherwise everything stays the same. Great base for a really versatile recipe!

Cold Vegetable Pizza

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
I didn't use quite as many vegetables, but the combinations there are endless. I love this as a side dish to a summer meal outside or at a potluck.

A Very Popular BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
Twice now I've doubled the recipe and used it in the crockpot with a bunch of lunchmeat ham for a potluck. It's been a hit! I do cook it down some, but other than that I make no changes. Great recipe.

Chocolate Pudding Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
I was trying to find something like Ponderosa's Volcano Cake. This was absolutely what I was in the mood for, and how awesome is it to not have to use multiple bowls, or even any at all? I made this once without milk (used water) and it turned out just as well as with milk. Even at 350, my cake wants to start burning if I leave it in too long - about 32 minutes is good for me.

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
I used these meatballs for spaghetti and they were great. So easy I doubled them and froze half in serving-sized packets for my son, the pickiest eater ever.

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I made these, as is, without raisins. I think they were delicious. They didn't rise in my fridge at all, so I was worried, but they did rise during the preheat and baked nicely. I enjoyed the fact that they weren't TOO goo-ey. Even my 'difficult-to-cook-for' father enjoyed them when I took them over for him.

Super Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Sage sausage in this recipe = YUM. I had no idea sausage gravy was so easy...I'd been intimidated by it forever. I WILL be making this over and over again.

Cookie Press Shortbread

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
This was a wonderful recipe!! The dough was fast and worked great in my cookie press. The cookies were delicious and looked so pretty. I'll be making some of these, drizzled with melted chocolate, for our Christmas cookie exchange and I can't wait.

E-Z Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
These were simple and quick. They were a perfect compliment to a Saturday morning breakfast...and they were still cumbly and tender after we forgot them for a few hours on the counter! Everyone near me is shocked that I can make homemade biscuits...but it's totally thanks to this recipe, that I make without changing a thing.

Donna's Chocolate Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
I didn't have to glaze this, it was so sweet and yummy by itself! I did at a little more chocolate, thanks to the reviews. It was so moist. Even my veggie and nut hating son ate this up!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
I needed another dessert for Easter dinner, and I went looking for a carrot cake recipe to make cupcakes from. I used this one because it didn't call for pineapple. I halved it and made it almost exactly as the recipe was, except I added a little nutmeg and allspice. I halved the icing recipe, as well (and had a ton left). I watched them as they baked, and the cupcakes took about 22 minutes - they were AWESOME. I won't be changing this recipe at all. My father actually called me just yesterday to tell me that he was made "because the cupcakes you made were terrific and you only sent me one home!"

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
I found this recipe to be absolutely delicious! I've made quite a few large batches and refuse to experiment with different seasoning because I'm scared to screw it up. Since finding this one there are always a few bags of potato soup in my freezer for an easy meal, and even my soup-hating hubby eats it with gusto.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
These were pretty heavy, but they were so good. My son and husband weren't as big on them as I was, but with some real maple syrup, I ate these for three days in a row!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I doubled up this recipe and baked it in mini loaf pans for my son's birthday...I made him a train cake. Coupled with white wedding cake frosting, it was delicious. Despite sifting it a lot, it was quite dense, which is why I am rating it only four stars.

Chocolate Almond Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
The instructions for this recipe are a little confusing (the cooking time is completely wrong, given it has to cook once for 18-20 minutes and then cook again for 20-25 minutes; it states 'cool on wire rack' but doesn't specify whether or not to cool completely, to remove from pan, etc.) but the result is great! Hubby wanted something with almonds, I wanted something not-too-sweet. This was perfect. When he finally tried one, husband's reaction was "NOMNOMNOM." I'll definitely make these again.

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
These took a lot longer to bake than stated (and I did half batches in an 8x8 so I didn't have the issue of the outside cooking before the inside did). The dough is also pretty sticky. Otherwise, these are great; I even froze the extra dough I had and the ones from frozen dough were just as good as the freshly made ones.

Old-Fashioned Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
These were very simple to make, and were a great consistancy. However, I found them to be a little bland, despite adding more pepper and seasoned salt at the start. Definitely someting I'll make again!
