Caramel Bars

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
This is SO great! I didn't add chocolate chips, because i didn't want any, and i didn't have any nuts to put in, and this is still amazing! I will have to make it again with some sort of walnut or pecan in it. This will be a regular!

Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
I pulled this recipe down to serve 8, and I wish I had made the full 12! These are AMAZING! SOOOO delicious! And not only that, but they are incredibly easy and fast and simple to put together, and bake beautifully. This will be a regular for me!

Grandpere dans le Sirop

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
I'm glad I tried this, but I probably won't make it again. It was overwhelmingly sweet, and I could only eat a little bit, and I have all kinds of leftovers- I even scaled the recipe down to serve only 2.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
I am just not sure about this. I followed the recipe exactly and it was the driest, crumbliest dough, very hard to pull together. It was a very heavy dense bread, too. I just was expecting something different I guess! Still, it didn't turn out to be horrible, and it wasn't that bad.

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
This was very good. My half a cabbage was too much cabbage, but just a bit too much. For being so simple, this soup really is tastey. I like some others added some chopped carrot, celery, italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and upped the amount of garlic. Very easy to make, nice to eat, easy to save.

Oatmeal Cocoa Macaroons

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
These were very delicious. Exactly what I had in mind when I went hunting for this recipe. I didn't want to use coconut so I just did an extra 1/2 cup of oats in exchange for the coconut, but I think for doing this, they turned out very crumbly and fall apart easily.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
These are good, but not the greatest. They are plain and I get sick of hem very quickly. The recipe said I would get 18 donuts, so I expected a number around there... I ended up with close to 30 donuts, and more than 50 donut holes. I don't know what I'm going to do with them all. And on top of that, I spent almost 2 hours in front of the deep fryer frying these.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Very easy to make recipe, holds up well with any amount of topping, bakes easily, is super delicious. A staple dough, will make over and over! With this, my pizza was the best pizza I could ever have. Much better than those chain restaurant pizzas!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
I've never had real hot cocoa before, always stuff from a can or a box. It's pretty good. I didn't have cream and was 1/2 a cup short on the milk quota, so it's very chocolatey and sort of thick that way. It's all right, I will have to try it again!

Polish Style Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
I used oven ready lasagna noodles, after half an hour they still weren't soft enough to eat. There wasn't much flavour to this dish either. I will have to try it again using the noodles that need to be boiled, maybe it will make all the difference in the world! But this dish wasn't very pleasing.

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
This is incredible! It's so rich and smooth. I only had semi-sweet chocolate to use, so I cut the sugar to 1/2 a cup, and added 1/2 a tsp of instant coffee powder to the sugar-water. I didn't add any salt to it, because I had to use salted butter. I thought it might come out too sweet and too salty, but it is amazing! Finished it with a dusting of unsweetened cocoa powder. It really reminds me of the inside of a good chocolate truffle.

Verrrry good! My boyfriend hates yukon gold potatoes, and thinks scalloped potatoes are weird, but he absolutely loved this recipe!

Zebra Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
YUM! Fun and simple to make! Delicious! Without thinking, I made the puddings the way the box says to- 2 cups each. And I had to use whipped cream from a can, not the frozen stuff... I thought it would really alter my results but it turned out great anyway!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
Very simple accurate recipe. I didn't have nearly enough banana [2 bananas, roughly 1 cup] so I feel my banana banana bread wasn't as good as it could be. I will have to try this again.
