Pfefferkuchen

Thanks for the great recipe! I made one change. I did not add any sugar, just the molasses and honey were sweet enough. Then I made a simple glaze with lemon juice and powdered sugar which added just enough extra sweetness.

Sweet and Savory Kale

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2010
Very good recipe. I actually cooked the kale for about 15 minutes longer than what the recipe stated making it less chewy and more "mushy." But that's just my taste. I also subbed pecans for almonds. Thanks for this easy, tasty recipe. Now I can get my family to eat more greens.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
I followed some of the other reviewers advice (sorta) and added 4 tbls. cornstarch instead of the 3 the recipe called for and it actually could have used 5 tbls.! It was still delicious and best when eaten still slightly warm. I let mine cool for about 3 hours out on the table before serving and it was great! Also, I sprinkled sugar ontop of the lattice eggwashed crust which really added a sweet tasty crunch to the crust. I will definitely be making this again and again.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
I'm giving this 4 stars because I think it needs many tweaks to be perfect. First, the original calls for way too much liquid if you are cooking the slow cooker. I recommend two cans of diced tomatoes with juice and the one can of sauce, and that's it. It does thicken after cooking so you don't have to add cornstarch or flour or anything. Also, this isn't spicy enough by half! I added four chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, and a full tsp. of cayenne, and this was just right. The 1/8 tsp. is waaaaay to little. Also I don't know if it's me but I think brown sugar works better than white. All in all like other reviewers have said this is a good starter recipe, but I would recommend people to add and subtract to their personal tastes.

Very tasty. I used peaches and strawberries (fresh) and it came out great! Serve with whip cream. Next time I will cut the butter in half though.

I suggest a shortbread crust, the pie crust doesn't hold up.
