Breaded Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
These were good, but I tweaked the recipe a little bit. I added garlic powder and salt to the breadcrumb mixture and used 1 tbsp. of Italian seasoning instead of just oregano and basil. Also, I used a whole egg and 2 tbsp. of milk instead of water. (Personal preference) Finally, I used whole grain bread crumbs and also some panko bread crumbs. The combination coated the ravioli completely and added more crunch. Immediately after taking out of the oven I sprinkled them with more freshly grated parmesan cheese and lightly salted them. They were not bland at all. With these changes, they were delicious.

Chocolate Caramel Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
They tasted okay, but I didn't like using the cake mix. It seemed too dry and was hard to spread. I also used caramel topping instead of melting the caramels. (Easier clean up!) They were good, but I think next time I would use my regular brownie recipe and add the caramel and nuts.

Turtle Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
Sooooo good! The only thing I did different was that I used caramel topping, which worked great and was a lot less messy and easier to clean up!

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
I did not like the paprika at all and would not use it again. Next time I would use the other spices and leave out the paprika. I also added flour to the rub and it did help to make a great gravy (which I would have preferred paprika-free). As with all beef roasts I cook, I cooked it for 15 minutes at 475 degrees and then cooked it the rest of the time at 250 degrees. It was so tender and cut like a tenderloin.

Sugar Cookie Drops

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
My absolute favorite sugar cookie recipe. These cookies melt in your mouth. The dough should be chilled for a while before rolling into balls so it is easier to handle.

Grandmother's Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2013
This was exactly what I was looking for. This is real pound cake. I ate almost half of it within the first 12 hours, so I won't be getting on a scale anytime soon. The only changes I made where adding 2 tsp vanilla and used heavy cream instead of milk. I also baked it in a 10 inch bundt pan, which was a little to small and a little of the batter ended up on the bottom of the oven. It took about 7 0 minutes to bake. This recipe is a keeper for sure!
