Cake Mix Cookies VII

This is one of my husband's favorite recipes, and while we cook it mostly in the early summer months, he loves when I surprise him with it during the rest of the year also. I have never pre-cooked my meat, and it always turns out wonderful. Add a salad and some garlicy bread and it is more than a meal! Great Recipe!!!

Corn and Zucchini Melody

Made this last summer and we loved it. Sort of forgot about it over the winter, but was pulling out my zucchini recipes for the season, and came across this one. Made it again, and it's better than ever! Can't wait until my corn comes from the garden also! We can eat this as a meal, but it's great as a side dish also.

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

My, oh my.... these are the best brownies. I made this recipe this evening as a surprise for my husband. They were a great combination of everything wonderful about brownies. Rich chocolate flavor and chewy fudginess! I did use a combination of melted butter and oil because I didn't have enough of either to double the recipe. So, 2/3 butter 1/3 of oil and they were DELICIOUS! Thanks so much.....

Speedy Spaghetti

This reminds me of my mom's spaghetti. The only thing I did was add a chopped bell pepper and some garlic (minced when I have it, powder when I don't). I pair it with a salad and garlic toast for a simple, delicious dinner! Thanks... I think I will serve this for my husband's birthday party tomorrow night!

Banana Banana Bread

I made muffins and small loaves witht his recipe and they were divine. I did add the cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla as recommended. It made my house smell heavenly and my husband smile! What more could you ask for??? I didn't find them doughy or dry as some of the previous posts had reported. I did add a little brown sugar/cinnamon to the tops for an added decorative touch. Beautiful, delicious, definately a keeper. Thanks!

Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake

This cake was a real hit last night with my after-dinner coffee. I did double the sugar/cinnamon mixture for added cinnamon taste and it was great! The cake was moist and beautiful! Definately a keeper!

Chocolate Gravy II

This recipe is SOOO good. We had it for breakfast one morning, and was definately pleased. I even took it with biscuits as a Thank You Breakfast for my room mother one day. I definately recommend this is you love chocolate!

All Day Apple Butter

This was my first attempt at anything like this and it was GREAT! My husband was very pleasantly surprised, and went back for seconds! I used only the 2 cups of sugar recommended by so many, and pulled out my single drink mixer that one person suggested, and it worked GREAT! Broke up the apple chunks before the last hour was up, and it turned out WONDERFUL... I definately recommend this one!!!

Baking Powder Biscuits I

These were the easiest, best biscuits I have ever made. I needed a quick bread to go with my dinner, so I added a little garlic powder and cheese like a previous reviewer suggested and my husband LOVED them. Sprayed a little butter on top and they resembled the biscuits you get at Red Lobster!!! Yummmyyy.... thanks Anne

Burrito Pie

I made this tonight, and have to admit I was re-reading the reviews while it baked. Began to get a little scared, but we LOVED it. If I was serving it to a group I would probably garnish with a little lettuce, cheese, sour cream and quacamole! However, my husband and I ate it with some warm tortillas and sour cream and it was DELICIOUS!!! Definately a keeper in our household!

Amazing Butternut Squash

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving this year in order to use up a couple of butternut squash I had laying around. I used non-fat plain yogurt instead of the mayo and made lots and lots of topping! It was a hit! Everyone loved it and scraped the bowl clean! It even traveled the 60+ miles and reheated well. Definately a keeper! Thanks

Berry Cobbler
