Mari's Banana Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 27, 2014
Cut the recipe in half for just my husband and I, and it was great. They were light and fluffy and not dense like muffins. I made a light glaze to put on top of them and it gave them just enough sweetness. Easy and tasty late night snack when you want something sweet without a lot of hassle. Only change I made was to reduce the oil, for half a recipe from 6T to 4T and used two small bananas, as that is all we had and used 1/2 brown and white sugar for extra flavor.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2014
Great recipe. Not sure what went wrong with some of the lower reviews, but I enjoyed the flavor and will definitely make again. One thing I did do was too simply defrost the spinach and not cook it a then drain it so it would not make things soggy. I like the base and may try different proteins next time, using maybe chicken or turkey.

Quick Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2014
Aside from increasing the milk to 3/4C I followed the recipe exactly. I do agree that the topping is a bit dry, and would probably add the melted butter to the topping instead of putting it onto the cake. I don't see the problem with adding the flour to the topping as it is such a small amount. I will definitely keep this one around for a quick tasty dessert, and might try some variation like adding coconut or oatmeal to the topping as well.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
Yummy pretty much sums it up. Recipe was very easy to follow and carry out. I did add 1tsp more cinnamon though cause I didn't think it smelled cinnamony enough, and placed them in an 11x9 pan. Great texture and flavor, will defiantly make again. I did bake them in a pan and just used thread to cut them into rounds and had no trouble with bubble over. Thanks . For those having problems - if your dough does not rise, there was a problem with your yeast or liquid temperature and if your dough is sticky, add more flour - baking is a mixture of art and science and sometimes you need more flour and sometimes you need less.

Lemonade

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
Very nice taste. Not overly sweet. I used 2 quarts of water and 3/4c of lemon and 3/4c lime juice and a little less than 1c sugar. Very tasty and will defiantly make again. Will try with just lemons when I have enough to make 2 quarts.

Devil's Food Cake I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly and it did not turn out very good at all. I always try to do the recipe as it is written before tweaking it, but this is one that if I do use again (and I doubt I would) I would defiantly change a few things in, as per other members suggestions.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
The recipe came out very good. The only thing I did to make it more spreadable on my cake was add a bit more milk. The secret to getting it smooth and creamy though is use a hand held mixer and keep mixing. Your frosting will turn out light, fluffy and yummy in the end.
