Crazy Cake

This is the same recipe I have made for several years now, with the sole exception of using vegetable shortening rather than the veg oil this calls for. If you want to punch up the flavor without traditional buttercream frosting, make a glaze from OJ concentrate, and powdered sugar. Also, I find it makes better cupcakes due to a tendency for the middle to not quite set in a full size cake. No doubt because of the lack of eggs. Killer recipe!

Spanish Rice II

A great recipe, but 2 teaspoons of chili powder is waaaaay too much. I used half that, and it was still very spicy. Also, the reviewer who suggested adding garlic, and sauteing all the veggies before adding the rice was right. Also, I prepared this in a dutch oven. Over all, really good recipe!

Classic Lasagna

As good as any I have ever had! The only thing I changed was to use two jars of prepared sauce instead of messing with making my own. Had to give it 5 stars. Really good!

Chocolate Mocha Cheesecake

I just want to let anyone know, that this does not really qualify as cheesecake. It is closer to a flourless chocolate cake. I am not sure what it would have tasted like had I followed the recipe exactly, but the only thing I changed was to substitute bakers chocolate for the semi-sweet. But it was not the flavor I had issues with. It was the texture. I have never seen a cheesecake with cornstarch in it, and think I will try to modify a conventional recipe to be mocha rather than try this again. But if you want to try it, the user who said it was not enough to fill an 8" pan was right. (Double the recipe in a 10" would be my advice) Also, if you bake it, and do not like it a room temp, microwave a slice for 30 seconds and it is pretty good.
