Perfect Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
They were gone too fast. I added Jimmy Dean Hot Breakfast Sausage to it and a little Tiger Sauce (can you tell the Creole in me coming out?) an it was gone too fast...

Wonderful! The oysters I bought were huge and I wrapped them in Applewood Smoked Bacon. Seasoned with Tony Chacheres and used Jezebel Sauce as a dip - delicious!

Good Ol' Alabama Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2010
this is a good recipe, however, you forgot the LEMON! add the juice of about 6 good lemons and that's will make it better. also, i don't put ice in the pitcher - it dilutes it too much. if you pour the hot tea into a glass full of ice cubes, it's not too sweet - it's JUST right. add a sprig of mint, and you're really cooking with hot grease!

Cajun Corn and Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
Absolutely delicious! Verrry rich. I used 2% milk one time and 1% another along with the heavy whipping cream , and it was still delicious. I did find the darker you manage to get your roux without burning it, the richer the color. My mother, who is an excellent southern cook, raved about it to everyone. The only thing I added was about a tablespoon of Tiger Sauce to up the kick from the crab boil. Made it twice in 2 weeks.

excellent! my student (8th grade) prepared this recipe and won 3rd place in a county competition! it's easy and very tasty. we served it with dill spears and garlic wedges as well as a doctored version of the southern coleslaw recipe. oh yeah, we also doctored the bbq sauce.
