About this Cook
Hi there, I'm Lily. I'm hungarian, 20 years old, and an university student. I live in a flat (currently on my own), and I love to cook for myself, or for my friends. I think it's not only cheaper and healthier, but also tastier than the meal the fastfoods can offer you. :) I have a bunch of easy and fast recipes, and I though of sharing them with you. sorry for my miserable english, I'll try my best.
My favorite things to cook
"Last minute" dinners, "I have nothing in the fridge" dishes, "Oh my god it's the end of the month" lunches, and I also cook a lot of traditional hungarian recipes - sometimes a bit altred according to my taste.
My favorite family cooking traditions
traditions? Oh many of them. I helped my mother in the kitchen since... 8? 4? It depends on what you consider "helping" :) at age four I'm sure, I was helping with the cakes or cookies she made. and every time more and more. I have delicious recipes from both of my grandmas, and my mother as well. mostly hungarian specialities.
My cooking triumphs
at age 16, a complet dinner for ten or so guests with 6 dishes plus dessert on my mothers birthday. And everybody said, it was delicious *_* lot's of lovely birthdaycakes for myy family and friends. I have a godd recipe ;) I'll will show you...
My cooking tragedies
hm. maybe the birthday cake that has an unexpectedly fluid centre after 45 min or so baking... and I just realized it, as I tried to slice it half, to add the cream -_-' oh yes. and sometimes I create baked on pasta (let the water boil away) or baked on veggies during steaming them (also let all the water boil away) okay, sometimes I'm a BIT forgetful. :D

Authentic Hungarian Goulash
not bad recipe, though a little short in information and sorry, but I have to say, it's far away from authentic :) here in hungary we call this kind of meal "pörkölt" which means "made by stewing" and goulash or "gulyás" is a rich soup or stew with potatoes, different vegetables paprika, and beef. check it out ;)
