Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 24, 2013
Made exactly as written except left out the nuts. Fatal mistake, perhaps? These turned out pretty, but too cake-like and puffy. Kind of like a pancake with chocolate chips and not enough sugar. Very disappointed. Both kids took one bite and stuck their tongues out. Will not use this recipe again.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
I have probably made more than 30 different sugar cookie recipes for cut out cookies and this one is now my favorite. Made exactly as written except added an extra 1/4 cup white sugar as several reviewers suggested. The dough cooled in the fridge for two hours and was perfect to roll out and cut. Cookies didn't spread much at all which was perfect. Kids loved them! Not too sweet and not too plain even w/o icing.

Cowboy Cookie Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
Made a batch of cookies exactly as written... Got really big chewy cookies that everyone in the family loved. The key is not baking too long. For us that meant taking them out at 12 mins after baking TWO cookie sheets at the same time. Would definitely make again!

Janine's Best Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
Fantastic and easy recipe! I added an extra egg, 2 tbsp vanilla, 2 tbsp cinnamon. Make sure you have BIG bananas, or enough small ones to make a cup when mashed.

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Don't substitute applesauce for the oil like I did. Huge mistake. Tasted ok but the texture was off. Remade recipe exactly as listed and they were wonderful.

Pizza Pinwheels

Love this quick recipe. I use turkey pepperoni and a mix of shredded mozzarella and provolone. When I serve these at parties I add a dipping sauce - crushed tomatoes, minced garlic, couple pinches of sugar, and lots of oregano.

I used 6 oz of veggie broth by College Inn that has white wine and rosemary - delicious! Otherwise made recipe exactly. Thanks! Wanted to add that the leftovers are AMAZING!

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
I used 2 lbs ground beef, 2 eggs, and a packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix (instead of the chopped onion). Also added 1/3 c ketchup into the meatloaf mix. Followed the recipe exactly otherwise and it was AWESOME! Super easy. Made great sandwiches with the leftovers.

Chocolate Chip Muffins

I added 1/4 cup sour cream and didn't sprinkle the sugars on top. The muffins are wonderfully light and not overly sweet. Great recipe and will use again! Am going to try using berries instead of chips next.

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
I followed the advice of other reviewers - rubbed the roast (2.5 lbs) with EVOO, sea salt, and some Italian seasonings. Put it in at 500 degrees, lowered the temp to 475 and cooked it for 20 mins. Then turned the oven down to 200 degrees for 2 hours. Then turned the oven off and let it sit in there for about 25 mins. It was medium - exactly how we hoped it would be. Super delicious and easy! THANK YOU Lyn!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

WONDERFUL recipe! I doubled it and it made three smaller loaves - "8x3". Mashed the bananas (I needed 4) as recommended by previous reviewers.

BAKER'S Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Hands down, the BEST cookie recipe I've made in recent memory. Made exactly as listed except I substituted 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips for the chocolate chunks. Absolutely delicious and will DEFINITELY make them again and again, and again! THANK YOU Baker's!

Orange Cake

I used orange extract instead of vanilla, and vanilla pudding instead of lemon. Great recipe. I also added a half a bag of chocolate chips to the cake batter. DELISH!

Incredibly easy. My dinner guests couldn't believe the recipe was so simple. My mother-in-law thought there surely must be seasonings because it was so full of flavor. Thanks!

This is one of our family's faves now! I follow the recipe exactly except we use the thinner breasts from the grocery. Ritz crackers, garlic seasoning mix, and viola, easy and quick dinner!
