German Sauerbraten

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
This was the BEST sauerbraten we have ever eaten. You could cut the meat with a fork! I used a sirloin tip roast, so it shrunk a lot, but I expected that. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I'm already looking forward to having this again!

Beef Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
This was so easy and so good! My only suggestions are: 1. salt and pepper and rub garlic powder into roast thoroughly before wrapping in foil. 2. Lower oven to 325. Cook at 30 minutes per lb. Everyone raved and there wasn't a drop of gravy left. thanks for sharing this. I will be making this again!

Chinese Almond Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
This cookie tastes best if made a day in advance. Gives the flavors time to develop. DEFINITELY use twice the amount of almond extract! If I'm making an almond cookie, I want to taste the almond flavor! Also, roll out the cookie into bigger balls.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
This is the BEST chocolate cake EVER! The only trouble I had was the cake stuck a little in the bundt pan. Not to worry though. I got to eat the cake that was stuck in the pan!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
This was fabulous! I did make it a little differently. I substituted 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables. I only boiled on top of stove 5 minutes. I doubled the sauce recipe and added garlic powder and poultry seasoning. Changed the oven temp to 375 for 40 minutes. Came out perfectly. Will definitely make again!

Rose Galletta's Ricotta Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
This is delicious! I will definately keep on making this one. The only advice I give is to make sure the pie is COMPLETELY cooled in the fridge or you will have some whey in the bottom. Thank you for sharing this.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2008
This was OK. The recipe didn't state if the 1 slice of onion was thick or thin and I wasn't sure if you put all of the cloves and onion through the food mill, too. So I did and the soup had a strange taste.

Glazed Lemon Bundt Cake

Very light and perfect for summer days. Don't change the glaze recipe-you need it for the lemony flavor. Definitely will make this again.l Thanks for sharing!

Best Ziti Ever

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This was fabulous! I used penne instead if ziti and it worked just as well. I combined the cooked sausage with the sauce to elimate the extra steps and pans. I also used more ricotta. This was delicious!

Italian Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
Very good cookie and easy to make! I followed Patsiola's recommendation and added anise extract instead of vanilla. I also frosted with 1 cup powdered sugar mixed with 2 Tblsp milk and added 1/4 tsp anise extract. Then I dunked cookie in multi colored nonpariels. Cookies were almost too pretty to eat. Gave cookie a hint of licorice. Will definately make again. Thank you for sharing.
