I made this recipe according to the directions until, like other reviewers, it came to the cream cheese. I put in one box, half the proposed amount, and I still found the cream cheese taste to be really overpowering. I wish I would have put in 1/4 of the amount and then added more to taste. Also, like others mentioned, the finished soup was extremely thick, like a dip. I probably added another 3 or 4 cups of chicken stock to thin it. All in all, I would make the recipe again because it's really easy, but I will make some major tweaks. Oh, and here's a note for the other beginner cooks out there: one butternut squash is more than enough to make the soup. You do not need to purchase multiple squash. 6 cups sounds like a lot, but a squash goes a long way.
