Barbecued Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
This was the best BBQ brisket ever. I made it just as the recipe states. For those whose briskets did not turn out, you must NOT trim the fat off the brisket--that is what keeps it moist and from drying out. You can easily skim off the fat after it cooks off and before you add the sauce. I always use a bigger brisket, 4+ pounds since it shrinks up. Thanks for a great recipe.

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
Totally awesome as written!! The secret is to stir constantly UNTIL the mixture boils, then LEAVE IT ALONE FOR 3 MINUTES, then pour immediately over crackers. I lined the pan w parchment paper--no problems ! I use almond slivers chopped small. Also have sprinkled red sugar sprinkles over the toffee, after the nuts--especially at holiday time, makes for a nice festive presentation. Thanks for the recipe !!

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
Delicious. I cooked this for my family and when they ask for seconds--that means it is really good. However 4 stars because made as written, i thought it a bit salty. I would agree to double the sauce or use only half of the dry dressing mix. I only used a generous dollop of chive cream cheese and that was plenty. AND, i used shrimp instead of chicken, added fresh mushrooms, and then spinach to the sauce pot 2-3 minute before serving--for my husband's personal taste preference. Incidentally, i didn't realize until i was ready to cook that it took 60 minutes in the oven; i just heated i through and served over the pasta. Will definitely make again. Thanks for a great recipe; the sauce seems very versatile !!
