Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
I, too, did not wait very long before making these divine pancakes! Maybe they would be better if I did, but I was pretty pleased with them. I also added more vanilla, but I do that with most things b/c I like the flavor it gives. Overall, very good for made from scratch pancakes!

Libby's® Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2011
Turns out perfectly everytime! I add a little more confectioners sugar to the cream cheese mixture, but it's always amazing! Also, don't skimp on the shortening on the pan and the liner! It will make life easier when you roll the dessert!

Todd's Famous Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
They were fantastic! I did like the others and just waited a few minutes and they were still amazing...I did add a tablespoon of vanilla, too and SUPERB!!! The fresh blueberries were great, too. Definitely will make again!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
Absolutely amazing! Personally, I am not a huge fan of potato soup and am not much of a ham person, but on a rare cold night in Florida I wanted something warm and wintery....decided to try this based on all the great ratings. SO HAPPY I DID!!!! I used red potatoes, skins on and I omitted the chicken granules and used half chicken stock and water. Did not use a bit of salt, but did add some thyme and pepper and that was it!!!!! My husband raved about it for days and a week later requested I make it for his parents when they came over for dinner. I'm about to start prepping it now! Definitely try this one for your winter rotation! :o)

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
For ease, this recipe was great. Unfortunately, I didn't have unsweetened chocolate and used semi-sweet along with the mix of brown and white sugars. The mix tasted pretty good, but once backed, they were too sweet. I would like to try again with the correct chocolate or maybe the cocoa powder mixture.

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
We were making wings for Sunday Football and I realized I forgot the ranch dressing packet at the store. So, I pulled up this recipe online and was able to whip this up. I followed some other's suggestions and did 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 butter milk (which I had to create too b/c I didn't have that 1 cup milk, 1 tbsp lemon juice--let sit for 15 minutes at room temp and wah-la, buttermilk) and sub'd the chives for thyme b/c I didn't have those either. I was thoroughly impressed! Will be keeping this recipe for future times and will never buy another ranch packet again! Thanks so much!

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
I followed this recipe pretty much to the letter and was a little frightened at the amount of stuff in my deep dish pie crusts, but it turned out beautifully! The only recommendation I have is to bake the quiches on the top rack of the oven and have the bottom rack layered with foil, just to catch ANY falling debris! LOL....It saves you from a messy oven. My husband brought the leftover quiche to work the next day and said that it practically got him a raise, it was so loved by his bosses! 5 STARS!!!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
Literally, the best chicken I have ever had. And my husband agreed. I used a whole 6 pounder and modified the recipe a little using a tad more cayenne, but it was excellent! LOVE IT!!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
I took the advice of others and seasoned my chicken breasts (I used Emeril's Essence) and used a combination of chicken stock and water to pour over the soup, onions and chicken breasts. I added a bag of frozen veggies at the same time I added the biscuits (one can of Grands). I found the biscuits needed more than 30 minutes--more like an hour, otherwise they were just shreds of dough. To me it tasted like the pie filling of a chicken pot pie. Okay, but not what I was hoping for.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
This was good for a slow cooker meal; however, I was raised on meatball stroganoff and prefer the taste so much better. Also, the 4 oz of sour cream was not enough for my taste so I added another 4 oz, but this could be a preference. Overall a semi-good meal.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
I CANNOT Believe this meal! It is FANTASTIC! I went with the others' suggestions of using a 4 lb tender chuck roast, Campbells Consomme, Campbells French Onion Soup, added garlic powder and a tad Worstershire sauce and used a whole Juengling Light beer (the only one we had on hand) and I actually cooked it on high for a couple hours and then turned it down to low for the remaining few and it was awesome! I used french rolls from the deli and provolone cheese on top under the broiler and then topped it with the beef with a side cup of the gravy from the slow cooker. My husband and I were sooo impressed! We had them again today and they were even better as left-overs! I'd give this recipe ten stars if possible!!!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
Excellent! I made this with sourdough bread and whole wheat; fresh herbs, pork sausage with sage; craisens instead of just dried cranberries and it was awesome! Everyone loved it! The only thing is next time I am going to cube my bread a tad bit more---my bread was a little larger than it should've been! ;o)

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
This was amazing! I made it along with my turkey feast yesterday and my husband and I LOVED it! My cousin and his wife stopped by for a plate and they raved over it! Later on that night, my husband put it over vanilla ice cream and it was incredible! I followed the others' advice and halved the water and o.j. and the brown sugar and the white as well as added a dash of cinnamon and it was perfect!!! I will make this again!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
Ummmm...not sure what I did wrong, but my apples turned to mush in the middle. I was completely devastated by the texture of this pie. I followed the recipe to the letter except for one dash of cinnamon, yet the center of my pie was like apple sauce in a flaky crust. My first one, though, so I'm willing to try again, maybe with larger pieces of apple? The sauce was incredible, however, which is why the 4 star rating. I'd like to just top vanilla ice cream with that! I will keep you updated when I try again! A great cook never stops at once! ;o)

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
Super Easy and good flavor! I upped the amount of garlic powder and the cheese and only used maybe a cup and a half of milk, but it was very good!!! I sauteed chicken breasts and mushrooms in some butter and olive oil along with garlic powder, salt and pepper and then mixed it in the alfredo sauce...excellent quick meal!!! Great the next day, too!
