Gingerbread Biscotti

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
Made these for a Christmas Cookie Exchange...and they were a hit. I split the dough into 3 logs so the cookies were a bit smaller but perfect for this type of event. I dipped half of the cookie in white chocolate and sprinkled with red and green sprinkles. Great display on the cookie table. Everyone loved the thought of having a cookie that they could have in the morning instead of all cookies that are just for dessert.

Cajun Shrimp

We did not like this at all. It is very unappealing to the eye and not much better to the tongue!

Easy Rum Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
This is fantastic! Make sure you poke LOTS of holes in the cake and take the time to get all of the glaze soaked in. The longer it sits the better it is so make it in advance if possible....however, not necessary.

Irish Lamb Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
Very good but needed a few changes IMO. Get your lamb from COSTCO if it is hard to find at your grocery. It's about $20 for 5 lbs which is plenty for this recipe...it's the leg that has been deboned and trimmed and wrapped in a cooking net. CHANGES: replace all of the water AND wine in the recipe with Guiness or other stout; add more salt and pepper throughout the cooking; add frozen green peas at the very end (this added color is essential for an eye appealing meal); if the broth is too thin at the end add a bit of corn starch and cold water to thicken.

Best Strawberry Daiquiri

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
We made this for a couples dinner party and everyone said it was the best they have ever had. We added a bit more rum than called for, used fresh squeezed lemon and lime juice and superfine sugar. The sour taste was great compared to your typical super sweet daquiri mix from the store. We will certainly make this again and again!

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2008
I have made this many times as a take-a-long appetizer and it always gets rave reviews. Just prepare it at home, pack it up and pop it in the microwave when you get there. If it hasn't been devoured in the first 20 minutes or so, pop it back in the microwave and it's brand new again!

Awesome! I used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar like others suggested. I use these in the "eat michigan salad" recipe also from this site.....great fall salad for dinner parties!

I made this salad as one of the dished for my best friends baby shower....it was a hit! Since then I have made it for two other dinner parties and have gotten rave reviews. I use the "sugar coated pecans" recipe from this site and they are outstanding! Thanks for sharing!
