Slow Cooker Taco Soup

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! I have a batch cooking in my crock pot right now :). I've made this several times. My family of five loves this as a hearty, satisfying dinner. It makes a lot, and the leftovers reheat beautifully. I only changed one thing. I didn't have any ground beef on hand, so I threw in some frozen sirloin cubes instead. They were falling-apart tender at the end of cooking time, and they were a delicious change! To sum it up, this recipe couldn't be easier, is hearty and filling, and inexpensive to make. Two thumbs up!

Savory Chicken Sandwiches

I was a little iffy about the ingredients, as my family usually dislikes most recipes that call for onion soup. Still, it sounded interesting, and was something new and different to put on the dinner table. I am so glad I decided to try it! Even my picky daughter had seconds. My husband liked it so well that he requested it for his Father's Day dinner. I have to give this recipe 5 stars for ease of preparation and for being a family-pleaser!

Pot Roast Dips

Super easy and super good! I love that this recipe requires only two simple ingredients that I usually have on hand anyway. The only change I made was using beefy onion soup instead of the regular onion, because I prefer it and that's the only kind I buy. I served the sandwiches on soft, fresh kaiser rolls. The picky eaters in my family raved over them, and they agreed that no cheese was needed. Delicious with just meat and roll. I have made this many times and it is staying in my regular rotation. Thanks for a great recipe!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

This is my go-to, never fail fudge recipe! I make pounds and pounds of it to give as gifts at Christmas, and it always gets rave reviews. The only change I made is reducing the sugar to 1 cup, but I have reduced the sugar in every fudge recipe I have tried, as I like it just a little less sweet. This is a recipe I have used for several years now and have already started making fudge this Christmas season. Yum yum!

Ribbon Salad

I made this salad last Thanksgiving and it was so good that I am making it again this year! It is delicious and looks so pretty on the table. I was surprised that although it looked like a time-consuming recipe, I made it within a couple of hours. Also, I was able to do other things while waiting for the layers to set up. I plan to make this a tradition every Thanksgiving...it's that good!

Big Cheeseburger Pizza

I was looking for something different to do with ground beef. This recipe had it all! It was quick and easy to prepare and my family loved it. We just had it a couple of nights ago for dinner, and it has already been requested again! Next time I will use less than the full cup of thousand island dressing (just a matter of personal preference, as it was delicious with the full cup). I didn't have an onion on hand, so I used dehydrated. Also, I had no American cheese so I used Colby Jack. I think I will cut it before adding the lettuce, as cutting even slices through the lettuce was hard to do. Other than that, it was perfect, and yes, we all thought it tasted just like a Big Mac!

Cheeseburger Loaf

I have made this several times, and it's always a big hit at my house. I usually serve it with the Classic Mac and Cheese found on this site, and a veggie or green salad. This is good comfort food, and leftovers are great heated up the next day too. Simple to prepare...another keeper for sure!

Classic Macaroni and Cheese

So simple and sooo good! I used 75% reduced-fat cheddar cheese and fat-free evaporated milk, and I omitted the butter. My family couldn't tell the difference. So yummy, I have made it this way many times. A keeper, thanks!!

Kentucky Butter Cake

Delish!! My family usually doesn't like cakes without some kind of frosting, but this was a big hit in our house!! It was very easy to make. I baked it in a 9x13 pan and poked holes in it after it came out of the oven. After allowing it to cool just a bit, I poured the butter sauce over the whole top of the cake. It soaked right in, making a cake that was super moist, buttery, just wonderful! It came easily out of the pan at serving time, too. This is now one of my very favorite, most-requested cakes. Thank you for a perfect recipe!

Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Bars

I wasn't too sure about this recipe as I'm not a big fan of marshmallows. I buy them only at Christmas to make fudge. After the holidays, I had leftover marshmallows and was looking for a recipe to use them in. I came across this one and decided to give it a try. Am I ever glad I did! This makes an amazingly good bar cookie, rich and chewy and yummy. So delicious, I'm making another batch today!

Oatmeal Carmelitas

If you haven't tried this, don't miss it!! Incredibly yummy!! I made several batches for holiday family parties (they always disappeared fast!), and my dough never turned out crumbly. It was a breeze to press into the bottom of the pan, as well as to cover the top. This recipe turned out perfect the first time and every time. It's a keeper for sure. Thank you!

Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

Oh, this is GOOD! My family thinks it is the best meatloaf I have ever made! It's the only meatloaf recipe I use now. The sauce is TDF!!!! I didn't have any tomato sauce in the house the first time I made this recipe, so I substituted condensed tomato soup. It turned out so yummy that I have used tomato soup every time I have made it. I serve this with mashed potatoes and a vegetable, and it's great comfort food. Thank you for a recipe that I will use again and again!

Mommy's Surprise

We really liked this one! I adjusted the seasonings to my family's taste. Also, I noticed that several other reviewers just toasted the rolls instead of wrapping the sandwiches and putting them in the oven. That worked out perfectly for my family, as everyone likes a different amount of filling on their rolls. I have made this recipe several times and it is fast, easy, and very tasty!

Slow Cooker Pizza

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Really, really GOOD! This was so easy to make, with things I usually have on hand in my pantry. I have made this several times and it is always a big hit with my family. They enjoy it served over hot cooked rice, but it's fantastic "as is", especially on a cold night. Definitely a favorite in our house, as good as any restaurant's tortilla soup!

Waikiki Cornbread

There are only a few recipes that my family would consider 5 Star, but this is one of them! Easy prep for me and my family enjoyed every bite. This cornbread is dense, moist, buttery and yummy, with a nice sweetness and a crumbly texture. It was still delicious and moist the next day, when I reheated and served the leftovers. I'd recommend this recipe to anyone looking for an easy to prepare, sweet cornbread!

Christmas Morning Popovers

Absolutely delicious!! They came out perfect the very first time I made them. My family loved them!! I used a muffin tin as I didn't have custard cups. I served them as a dinner bread, hot out of the oven and brushed with honey butter. This recipe calls for only 2 eggs which I preferred. Easy to make and really, really good. I'll be making them again!!

Gooey Brownies with Shortbread Crust

Oh WOW!! This is one of the best brownie recipes I have ever found. My family loved it. I baked it in an 8x8 inch pan, and they were gone by the next day, so I baked another batch right away. The slight crispiness of the shortbread is a perfect complement to the rich gooey brownie. The only change I made was using an 11 oz. bag of milk chocolate chips rather than a chocolate bar. This is a recipe I will use again and again. Perfect!!

Easy Cheap and Yummy Casserole

Wow!! This is DELICIOUS!! My family has requested it several times. I add some finely minced onion to the beans and dot the cornbread mixture with butter before baking, and it comes out perfect every time. I use only one package of hot dogs, and I like to saute them before adding them to the casserole. So easy and sooo good!!

Famous Butter Chicken

Delicious! I have made this several times and it is a family favorite. Decreasing the butter didn't take away from the moistness or flavor at all. This is so easy to prepare and is a never-fail recipe. So good, I'm making it again tonight!
