About this Cook
I am a mother to five beautiful children, wife to a wonderful devoted husband, We have a happy home!!! I love outdoor activities and Metal Detecting. I am going to try gold panning this spring, alittle strange for this area, I know, but, you never know what you can find!!!! My family is my #1 priority always and forever !!! I will always cherish my husband and my children with all of my heart...Everything I do, I do for them. Cooking is one way to show them how much I love them. There is always something to eat at this house !!! I am blessed and consider myself very lucky with what God has provided for us. We are a large family, yet the Lord always meets our needs.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking seafood, all types of meats, all different ways, I love experimenting with different flavors and trying them out on my family LOL! I love all sorts of ethnic foods as well, I love cooking Italian, all pastas and some created by myself, I love it all!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Anise Cookies for every occasion!!! Chicken Marsala, Sausage Peppers and Onions, Baked ziti, are always the main dishes at family get togethers....No matter what the occasion, it could be a small birthday party or just a family get together out of the blue - but we always have food....
My cooking triumphs
Chicken Marsala and my various seafood pastas.....My family loves when I bake. There is nothing better than coming into a home and smelling food. Its a wonder we are all not FAT !!!!! Its so hard because I want to submit recipes of my own onto this site, however, I NEVER measure anything unless I am baking. I mostly go by taste.
My cooking tragedies
First time i made anise cookies, horrible, i was so pissed off, i threw all the batter away.........I could probubly cook just about anything, however, I am the worlds worst coffee maker????????????? Weird...

Homemade Pancake Mix
Well, we ran out of pancake mix and I came upon this recipe. This is so easy!!! It makes quite a bit so it's great that you can store it for up to 8 months!!! The taste is definitely better than the boxed mix!!! We added some bananas to it and it still cooked evenly and came out excellent. Just as if you were preparing the boxed kind, if you find your homemade mix to be to thin once you've added the wet ingredients, simply add a little more of your dry mix to thicken it up!!! If its too thick, add a tiny bit more water until you have your desired consistency! But once again, very easy & FAST to make, tasty and the consistency was nice, not too dense you know? I LOVE great tasting recipes that involve using things one normally has on hand!! Like some of the other members wrote in their comments, I too will NEVER buy boxed mix again... Just great, thanks!!!
