I was so nervous to make this, my Grandmother use to make it and I remember it being such hard work...this was so easy! Next time I may add orange zest instead of lemon just for a change. I omitted the nuts as my Grandmother use to leave those out as well. I made this as a surprise for my Mom, she is going to be pleased. Thank you.

I can't believe how easy this was! My only mistake was to make a second batch in the same dish as I made the first...the second batch seized and I had to throw out...my own fault. I will make again, over and over. Simply perfection!

Holiday Shortbread Cookies

Very easy to make. Really good, just a bit crumbly. Because I live in a higher elevation, I cooked for 15 more minutes. Thanks to the other reviewers who said to bake for 5 minutes then prick with a fork, that definitely helped!
