After climbing all over God's creation, we took one last look before heading back down.

We headed for a quaint little community at the bottom of Mt. Scott called Medicine Park.

I just love waterfalls! The sound of the water running to meet the river....I could sit
here all day. I didn't get to.

I wanted to see the sculptures scattered throughout this community that are the work of the late artist, Robert Errol Dean. He passed away this past February. His talent in many mediums has brought his art to museums and galleries alike. There are some 16 sculptures here and most can be seen from the road.

This is my favorite one! How lucky these folks are to wake to this in the yard every morning. The creativity that moved through this man's hands moves me....I think we are all born with gifts.

In finishing up my blog about how I spent Mother's Day, I'd just like to say...it was---->

Thanks for letting me share. It was a pleasure putting this together to bring a bit of Oklahoma to you!

Love waterfalls too! Beautiful area to spend the day, I'm glad you shared it. I didn't know what anything looked like your way except for the dunes.

lol I love street signs that hold dual purposes, my girlfriend from MANY years ago, was named Vicki. One block from where she lived was a street --Vicki's Place...let's just say several beers later you can fill in the result of the evening:) Glad you had a great Mother's Day cowgirl, going to check out your other blog

Scotdog, I may have to sign up to have the traveling Chef here...great excuse to go for another hike!~~CatHill, I'm glad I could share with ya'. The dunes sound like great fun. Much more fun than driving a dune buggy around here. My daughter scared the pants off me last time I rode with her (we borrowed a neighbor's buggy).

WFDM, I wish I had put more pics of the sculptures...I am just figuring out how to add photos to my blogs and I'm never sure how many I can add. It appears that I run out of room to add more and I don't like messing up and having to start over.~~ Thank you, Mike. Always good to see ya'!!~~ LeeB, glad you enjoyed them. I enjoyed taking them (There was over 100 pics of our little trip by the time it was over!)

About Me
My family and I are embarking on a new adventure in our lives. My husband is now a truck driver (no more cattle ranch) and misses a lot of my cooking. It's hard to keep my meals on the small side since it is just me and my girl. Leftovers, anyone??
My favorite things to cook
I make a mean spaghetti sauce, before my husband met me he wouldn't eat spaghetti. The first time I made it for him he had 3 plates full! Now it's a favorite. There are now a couple meatball recipes from AR that I love. I never used to like meatballs. They are Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs and Honey-Garlic Glazed Meatballs. I highly recommend them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
No real traditions other than I don't usually do Thanksgiving dinner. For several years now, we have gone to church for their Thanksgiving dinner. Love seeing old friends that we haven't seen since the previous year at the same dinner!
My cooking triumphs
Anything that doesn't wind up burnt is a triumph in my book....
My cooking tragedies
One tragedy in the past year...I burnt some bacon in the oven and the smoke alarm went off. The house was FULL of smoke!!
