Grilled Asparagus

Followed advice from reviewer SHUGGLES: After reading a LOT of other member comments, I decided to marinate in EV olive oil, coarsley-ground pepper, kosher salt (only a bit of salt), minced garlic and a bit of balsamic vinegar, for about 2 hours. Threaded on to bamboo skewers and grilled on the barbecue at a medium heat setting for a total of about 5-6 minutes. Absolutely to DIE for! THE BEST asparagus I've ever eaten. My guest raved about them long after the meal was over.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

These are my kids new favorite cookies. For the jam I used Tastefully Simple's Rhubarb Strawberry Fruit Spread. Taking another reviewer's advice, I also did the following: used 1 egg instead of 2 yolks; added 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Absolutely delicious! Used chicken tenders. Halved the egg, crumb mixtures & added garlic powder & onion powder as suggested by other reviewers. Served over whole grain pasta. This is going in my family recipe book... A keeper.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Creamy Shell Pasta Salad

Excellent! Everyone loved it at the family BBQ - even our picky eaters! I omitted the sunflower & egg, and added sharp cheddar and swiss cheese cubes. The dressing is super creamy when you first put it on. At first I thought I didn't use enough pasta. But if you prepare it the night before, it settles down into a nice moist texture by the next day. I'm making it again tonight for dinner and also next week for another BBQ. It's definitely going on our favorites list! No more boxed chemical-powder pasta salads for us!

Angel Shrimp Pasta

Wonderful! Made a quick weeknight version with Ragu Cheddar Cheese Sauce. I was worried it wouldn't taste good, but it was delish! A big hit with the entire family. I'm sure with fresh ingredients it would be even better. Versatile - I'll also try it with browned ground beef instead next time around.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Added extra cup of sugar, extra tsp of vanilla, pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon, all suggested by other reviewers. Delicious! Also followed highly rated suggestion about using parchment (NOT waxed) paper to roll out and bake on. Excellent tip!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

I used this to top the Pumpkin Cake III Recipe from here and it was a delicious combination. I took another reviewer's advice by adding an additional cup of confectioners sugar and doubled the vanilla extract to make it sweet. The combination was a big hit. This has become part of our family recipe collection.

Pumpkin Cake III

I made this for the first time for a halloween party last night and the reviewers here did not fail me - thank you!! The cake was incredible and SO moist! (I omitted the walnuts and baked it in a bundt pan for 50-55 minutes.) A number of people asked for the recipe. Taking other reviewers advice, I used the Cream Cheese Frosting II recipe from here (adding an additional cup of confectioners sugar and doubled the vanilla extract to make it sweet). The combination was a big hit. This has become part of our family recipe collection.

Hot Spiked Cider

Made it for a Halloween Party last night and it was delicious! Doubling the recipe filled up my large crockpot which I kept on Low for the night. I reduced the Captain Morgans Rum by 1/3, omitted the butter and it was awesome! This would be perfect for a cold Autumn outdoor event like a bonfire or tailgating. You can't go wrong with this recipe. Enjoy!

Cheeseburger and Fries Casserole

Delicious when using 1tsp of garlic, salt and 1/2 tsp pepper, as well as the addition of drained canned corn and green beans. I've made this twice already! Took other reviewers' advice and baked fries ahead of time. I noticed while adding the golden mushroom and cheddar cheese soup that the combination of these 2 soups with the ground beef and pasta would be a tasty and easy alternative to Hamburger Helper.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Had this for a family BBQ and it was a big hit. A fun way to do chicken if you're having a variety of grilled meats. We marinaded overnight. I followed the directions exactly but next time I'll add the tomatoes and mushrooms recommended in the description. The tomatoes add a nice sweet touch.

Ultimate Shrimp Scampi

Took another reviewers advice and used 1 Teaspoon Salt instead of Tablespoon. Only had some ingredients on hand, so I had to get creative but the recipe was INCREDIBLE despite major deviations... I omitted avocado and garlic (I know, who heard of scampi w/o garlic??) , used red onion, was more generous w/ the worcestershire and wine. With more preparation I'll try it as written. Enjoy, this one's a winner!

Easy Tuna Casserole

So good my mother-in-law asked for a copy! I added a can of cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 c. mayo, and used a whole (8 oz) bag of shredded cheese to the recipe. The Durkee onions sprinkled on top are a really flavorful touch. Everyone loved it - I'll definitely make it again!

I prepared the recipe as-is and it turned out a bit blah and the sauce was runny. I'd try this again, but doctor it up the way some other reviewers suggest to see if I can get a more flavorful version.

Allie's Delicious Macaroni and Cheese

Took other reviewers advice, omitted ham, added dry mustard and worcestershire, increased amount of macaroni. The result was disappointing still - a lot of work and SO bland! If I decide to try again I'd use stronger cheeses only, like sharp cheddar. But I will probably look elsewhere for another recipe.

Easy Breezy Casserole

I was concerned when I heard taste was blah. That would be okay for our kids, but not us. Used what was on hand.... sauted chopped onion and plum tomatoes in oil, added chicken pieces and red wine. Let it cook down and then added cream of mushroom soup. Added this mixture to cooked macaroni and mixed in baking dish. Topped with bread crumbs and baked. Lekker!! (
