Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2014
Turned out nice and moist. I followed some other reviewers' advice and used baking soda instead of baking powder. I used 2 bananas. I baked it in an 8x11 dish. Will make again!

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Super easy, with ingredients easily found at hand. I use whole wheat flour and it's still delicious.

Hearty Breakfast Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2013
I made these in preparation for my son's arrival in about 3 weeks. They are delicious, nutritious and super moist. I added some chia seeds for extra fiber/omega fats, and walnuts instead of pecans. I doubled the recipe and froze most of them (after my husband and I sampled a couple of course). These will make a prefect breakfast or snack on the go!

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 23, 2013
Great texture and flavour... moist and light. I'm not sure what I did wrong as they fell apart when i took them out of the pans- I had greased and floured them, and removed them from the pans about 2 hours after cooling. Oh well, it was just for hubby and me, we'll still eat it as it really is delicious!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
Great recipe! First time I try to make brownies from scratch and they turned out very well. The consistency is right, and they are not too sweet. I did not make the icing- I don't think they need it! I added walnuts and chocolate chips to the batter and they were delicious. I'll try not to eat the whole thing myself (husband is out of town!)

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
Perfectly moist every time. Really great as is, but I've tried the following variations for my taste: I cut the sugar to 2/3 cup and increased the yogurt to 3/4 cup. The ripe bananas provide enough sugar to balance things out, and the extra yogurt equals extra moist. Yum!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Extremely easy to make, delicious and not too sweet. I had to bake mine for longer than the suggested time, about 7 minutes more. Very moist cake, I frosted with chocolate cream cheese icing from this website. Will make again!

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
I made as is, was very good. I used this to frost a chocolate cake, and it was not too sweet. I prefer traditional chocolate icing, but I made this one and my husband said it was the best part of the cake!

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
These were absolutely spectacular! My husband loved them just as much as I did. I used extra lean ground chicken and dried italian seasoning, it was delish! I pan fried them in a little olive oil, and the patties stayed together just fine. I served on top of a soft tortilla and a bed of arugula and spinach. For a topping I made a sauce with 1/2 c plain Greek yogurt, 2 tbsp mayo, 2 tsp dried italian herbs and a shake or 2 of garlic powder. The sauce really complemented the burgers well. I will be making this again!!

Creme Fraiche Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
Really good. I scaled the recipe to 2 servings, but increased the wine and the garlic. I found the creme fraiche in the organic dairy section of the grocery store. I used a red onion because it's what I had, but next time i think a white onion would work better in this recipe. I finished off the dish by topping with parmesan cheese and chopped fresh chives. Sooo good, even better the next day.

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2010
This is a very tasty casserole! I've made it twice now, and it's even better the next day! My husband did not mind taking leftovers in his lunch! It makes quite a bit, but it never goes to waste here. The only change I made was halving the amount of cheese. Excellent!

Chocolate Zucchini Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2010
This cake turned out really well. I used the same amount of sour cream instead of sour milk, and I used apple sauce instead of oil. It was nice and moist, and it kept well in the freezer.

Quinoa and Black Beans

I loved this dish! The only modifications I made was to add grated carrots, and since I only had white kidney beans, that's what I used. It turned out very nice!

Mom's Island Treasures

My husband liked these, but they were a bit too sweet for my taste. Maybe if I make them again, I will use semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
I signed up just to be able to rate this recipe. The cookies turned out exactly like they are described: chewy, yet crisp on the edges. Those who said that they turned out "cakey"...It was not the case with mine at all. The only changes I made were that I used whole wheat flour, and I did not add any nuts. Definitely a keeper! Excellent
