my shift key is busted so bear with the typing. very tasty, i used chicken tenders and added mushrooms and more garlic because i love it too much. my parents and hubby really enjoyed it and it was pretty easy to make which is always nice.

Chinese Cookies

When I was a child, the local bakery made these cookies called Chinese Tees. They were outstanding. The bakery has been gone for ages and I have had a hankering for these cookies ever since. This is the first recipe to come so close to the bakery's cookie. I used peanuts instead of walnuts (don't like them) and butter flavored shortening and didn't even bother with the frosting becuase these cookies don't need it! I will be making these cookies every Christmas and maybe even in between now! Thank you so much for this fabulous recipe. I recommend these to everyone! Oh and they are pretty easy to make although I made several smaller logs instead of one big one because rolling is not my strong point! :)

Kitty Kat Bars

This recipe turned out to be the hit of our cook out! I used saltines instead of buttery rounds and added a little milk when melting the chips and it turned out wonderful. The peanut butter really adds a kick to this and it is very easy to make. I will make this again and again!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

I am not a rolling pin type of person but this recipe inspired me to try it. I will have to practice more on my techniques but regardless of the shape my biscuits came out, these were so delicious. The flavor is very light and it was great for our Thanksgiving meal. The shortening made the biggest difference and it really was quick to throw together. Thanx.

Sweet Potato Casserole I

I think this was the dish I was most pleased with out of all the new dishes I tried for Thanksgiving. The taste was unbelievable and it was the first of the leftovers to be demolished! LOL! I will definately make this again and again. Thanx!

Basic Yankee Bread Stuffing

This was the first year I got creative with my stuffing for Thanksgiving and all I have to say is there will be no more Stove Top in my house. This recipe waas very tasty and my hubby absolutely adored it!

Hash Brown Casserole II

Breakfast Treat

I copied a bunch of these casseroles to try and this has been my first so far. It was so good. My husband ate most of it on us though so I have to make it again. I only used one cup of milk and I chopped up sausage instead of the ham because I didn't have any on hand. Even my son ate it and he is extremely picky.

Baked French Toast

This was really delicious. I never really tried anything like this before so I was very pleased with the results. I only used 6 eggs and one cup of milk and I also baked it for an hour and it came our perfect, not soggy. I will definately make this again and again. The really good bonus is there's no messy clean-up!

Marshmallow Apple Pie

I had a ton of apples from my sisiter's tree and I didn't know what to do with them. I had printed this recipe monthes before so I decided to give it a try. I regret not making it sooner. It was out of this world! It was so easy to make, I made three pies and took them to work. They were gone in five minutes and everybody wanted the recipe. Deb, thank you for sharing your Grandmother's recipe with us!
