About this Cook
Mom to 4. My favorite cookbooks are: Nourishing Traditions & Wild Fermentation. We eat mainly traditionally as this is much healthier than all the new things that are on the market now. Therefore only natural things, lots of fermented foods etc.
My favorite things to cook
Traditional foods. I am totally annoying with the unscientific way that food has been condemned to be these days. Very sad.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pancakes, poffertjes, apple pie.
My cooking triumphs
cortido, kimchi, sourdough bread, kefir, kombucha. All things that I was unsure of that I could do, but they have all turned out great. Moving on on that level now as well. In the meantime cooking beans from scratch has worked out well as well. I used the haybox to get that sorted and it was better than from a tin from the store, so total success with that these days as well.
My cooking tragedies
Fear of starting something new. Especially when it takes time.

Sauteed Portobellos and Spinach
Made some pasta with this and it was superb. We all loved it.

Mom's Squash Casserole
This is really nice, the taste is good. The kids somehow had a problem with the chunks of squash, they usually have a problem of some sort anyway with something new. They will get used to it.

Chocolate Chip Muffins I
Unfortunately this keeps being too wet a dough for me. Already tried to keep it longer in the oven, didn't really work. Now I will try less fluids, but the taste is really GREAT!!!
