Sweet and Gooey Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2004
This is similar to a family recipe I make all the time. I say eliminate the oil. You don't need it. I never use any, and mine always come out sticky (in a good way). Also I add just a 1/4 tsp of mustard to my marinade. I also don't know that they need to be covered.

Good recipe but it did take about double the cooking time.

Mexican Halibut Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2004
I made this with haddock instead. I only used a pound. I used 1/2 cup salsa and 3/4 cup fat free sour cream and 1/4 cup mayo. It was good. I made too much sauce and the sour cream taste was a little strong. Next time I will try using 1/2 cup salsa and 1/4 cup sour cream and no mayo and see how that works. I served with yellow rice which I added some chopped veggies to. Good overall.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2004
This recipe was well liked by all. I thought it was a little bit too sweet/tangy. But some may like it this way. Next time I will use half the sugar and a little less ketchup.

This was very good, but I prefer pork for this kind of dish.

Not what I was looking for. Tasted a little too mustard-y for me.

This was tasty but a bit heavy. This will be good for once in a while but normally I like something lighter.

Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2004
I used only a few tablespoons of margarine. I also doubled the cornbread mix. It was delicious. Next time I also think I will try adding some peppers to make it a little spicy.

Broccoli Lasagna

The flavor was a little too rich for me and it was kind of a lot of work. But it wasn't bad.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

So good! People are always impressed by this delicious meal. I use my foreman grill and fat free half and half or light cream to make this a little more diet friendly. Probably the best recipe I have.

Pork Chop Casserole III

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2004
I tried using brown rice in this recipe so I ended up having to cook way longer. I thought it was kind of a disaster but my family liked it a lot.

Yummy. Reminds me of NE clam chowder a little.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2004
I just drained the liquid out then added the BBQ sauce to the crock pot for a half hour on low. I used pork chops because it was easier to trim the fat. Absolutely great!!!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
This recipe is wonderful. I use wheat germ in place of bread crumbs in my meatballs because I'm a health food freak. The texture was perfect. I will try diced tomatoes next time for a little smoother sauce. I served with some sauteed string beans and wheat pasta, it was great!

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2004
So easy and family-friendly. I didn't have any cooked chicken so I just threw 2 boneless breasts on the old Foreman grill. I topped w/ wheat germ and no butter and served over rice. Will definitely make again and again.

I gave it 3 stars to be fair b/c I didn't follow the directions exactly. I guess I just don't like cloves.
